ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Lakers 10/28/2014

I'd say their team was better last year, and this year we had more time to gel. They are one of the worse team this year, there really shouldn't be any excuse if we lose.

 

A loss here would be the worst loss of the season.

 

I don't want to score a ton of points, I would much rather see a defensive evisceration. Ariza, Harden and Bev with 3+ steals, Dwight with 4+ blocks and the entire laker lineup with 2+ TO's each.

 

Hakeem, Clyde, and Robert aren't walking through that door!!

 

Well that is probable when the Rockets are at their worst and the Lakers at their best

 

I think its going to take a little time for the Rockets to be at their best.

 

I am getting excited for game number 1 tonight. Come out strong, and put them to bed early.

 

my thoughts exactly.. wtf morey? that was after we wont a championship... Our team doesnt have the heart of a champion till they can prove it. Last seasons playoffs showed quite the opposite.

 

What do you think about putting Ariza on Kobe and Harden on Wesley Johnson?

Also Lakers have some on the injury report

▪ Jordan Hill (cervical strain) is probable.
▪ Ryan Kelly (sore right hamstring) is out.
▪ Steve Nash (sciatic pain) is out.
▪ Ronnie Price (bone bruise, right knee) is probable. ▪ Nick Young (torn ligament, right thumb) is out.

 

I was thinking about that earlier and i think McHale should do that.

I think that is the way to go. Johnson is more likely to shoot and Kobe will be more aggressive. This puts Ariza in a better position to rebound, which he is much better than Harden at. Also, Harden will be able to be the outlet guy and push the ball which he is best at.

Between Boozer and Hill, which do you think the Howard and Jones should guard? Boozer may eat up TJones tonight. I would actually like it better if Black started and guarded Boozer.

Unless Lin goes ALL sorts of crazy, this should be an easy win, even if Kobe scores 40.

I think Harden will stay on Kobe, Kobe has been posting up alot and Harden can guard the post.

It will be important for Ariza to roam the court and play the passing lanes.

 

If the Rockets lose tonight I'll feel sick to my stomach.

 

one of the main reasons ariza is here is to guard the teams best perimeter player not a player like johnson..hell be on kobe

Dwight has always committed a lot of fouls. There's no reason to expect him to have more issues this year than any other.
