What a waste of perfectly good resources. I was shocked when Morey signed him, and I am still shocked after seeing him play. He is undersized and has chronic foot problems. Where exactly is the upside?

plus his habit of skipping practice and how mchale doesn't like playing undersized bigs.

Dorsey could become this year's Jonny Flynn -- we kept him over a better player only because he had a contract.

He looks like Dwight's brother. Can block a shot and couple rebounds in limited time. Fouling 5 or 6 fouls. Looks small on TV.

He is not fun to watch yet but at least we have no bad contracts, no overpaying Parsons, no whining Bosh, right?

Close. Dorsey is a more mentally stable Royce White whoever that is.

What a waste, Adrien deserved his spot fair and square!

Joey better shape up fast or else we will have a new whipping boy.

No more moving screens, no more inept passing between the bigs in the paint without anyone scoring. Man up and show more basketball sense. ugh

Looking at some of today's popular threads, he already is the whipping boy.

I was more excited than most when Joey got signed, because I had kept up with his career and knew the kind of impact he was having in the 2nd and 3rd best leagues in the world. I was extremely disappointed with what I saw from him in his limited time in the preseason. But I'm not willing to pass judgement yet, since he has been dealing with plantar fasciitis pretty much the whole time.

I'm not giving him a pass (or making excuses), but I think that in time he can provide positive minutes for this team as a defender, rebounder, and screen setter. We'll certainly see. With all of the overwhelming negativity surrounding him on this forum, I'd like to remain cautiously optimistic.

Poor signing by Morey. He doesn't add common sense to analytics and one of the reasons why we have a horrible PF situation. If Dwight gets injured, we will be screwed with these short scrubs. You can't teach height Morey. I was excited about the Earl Clark signing because he is a legit 6'10''. then we cut him to preserve a spot for a broke down ass J Dorsey. Adrien truly deserved that spot and because of the Bosh aftermath, he made a horrible irrational decision. You sign person with height and desire to learn and then see what happens. I really hope I'm wrong but only time will tell.

I hope morey is working the phones because there's no way Dorsey will help us win in the Wild West.

Don't necessarily disagree here, but let's not try to pretend Asik was an
offensive threat. I recall him turning over the ball many times or simply
'throwing' the ball off the glass right under the basket with his awkward
    shooting ability (or lack thereof)

We have Dorsey for strictly rim protection.
I personally prefer Tarik Black as the 2nd string and then Dorsey.
Black seems to at least be able to do reverse layups and use the glass pretty
    well offensively

If we waived Dorsey now, we would have to eat the second year of the deal, instead of dumping him in a trade package down the road.

The Pelican's pick, Terry, Jones, Dorsey and Black for Rondo and the TE for Bass works after December 15th.
