Not that simple, though I firmly believe we could've had either one of them easily. I'm sure CD would've pulled the trigger, but he would on any player so that's not saying much..
Too bad about Adrien but Black surprised the front office with his defensive production. I'm glad we're seeing some accountability and the FO wants the best players on the roster.
Other than Lin, who are you talking about? Do you think Adrien and Ish Smith got paid big bucks in Les Alexander's world? What's your problem with what happened that Morey needs to learn from? The guy who worked his tail off and legitimately beat out veterans got a veteran waived off the team. That's kinda the way it should be right? Not sure what the issue is.
Joey Dorsey is an excellent rebounder, and should be able to help defensively. Tarik Black has shown the same skill set in the preseasons. If there is something to miss about Adrien, it will be his offensive capability compared to those 2. What we need is a more consistent TJones.
Sad story is Adrien actually had a decent preseason, nothing spectacular but had couple of good games in limited minutes
Issue is we move in circles more than you would think.....not much has changed from the Yao and Tmac era when we made 2nd round Yeah we seem to be relatively healthy, seem to have better role players, but we are still moving in circles We have a more inept coach, more players in development I guess someone was stating "Depressing times for the Rockets". Now I understand. The team is not depressing, but some decisions are and those decisions when they pile up can separate very good teams from great teams that win championships or at least go the Finals There is no issue other than that.
thanks, still not much info to go by on the combine results...missing his strength/agility/sprints numbers…..his vertical numbers are decent, but not elite for a man his size. that long reach is nice though. he's got a thurl bailey body type imo, question is if he can develop that little hookshot and 8-10 footer in the paint now to be somewhat effective offensively
WTF!! I thought Adrien made the team with all that hustle. I mean, I was rooting for Dorsey when we picked him up, but he played like ****e compared to Black & Adrien! This was a mistake, I really hope this guy gets picked up somewhere else, and shows fat boy Morey up.
You got to remember though Morey wanted the "blue chips" in the FA class, so they weren't going to sign Lowry without hearing from one of them first, and by that time it was too late...Stephensen? Bleh on that guy.
Jeff Adrien is 28 years old, will turn 29 before the all star break. He went undrafted, has been let go 7 times by 4 different teams and the best he could do was a one year minimum. I mean really guys, this is the beast you are angry over losing.
This is one of the things that makes Clutchfans great IMO. Passion about every little detail on the team. That's why we deserve another GD championship for heaven's sake.
It's not that he's that good, it's that Dorsey's that bad. Adrian has done a lot more in this league than Dorsey.
Yeah, it's like he thinks he's the Rockets' General Manager or something. And who exactly has gone linsanity other than Lin? What other guys have we cut in pre-season who became household names later that year?
