Deandre felt like he had a DPOY campaign in 2013-14. I have no doubt that dude is looking for near max money.

Deandre is not the most intelligent of players. He has a ton of athletic talent and could be the best center in the NBA at some point. But he has to understand that Doc Rivers is the key to getting him there. If he goes to some lottery team, everything that he built up will come crumbling down. From a basketball perspective. I'm sure he will live a pimped out lifestyle with his max contract whatever decision he makes.

    That's what agents are for

Money doesn't get stuck under a mattress, i don't know his exact investment advice, but just a dow index fund (holy conservative batman) would have been making him 15% a year, plus his small endorsements, also the Iverson thing is way overblown, he spends ridiculously but he does still have that reebok trust fund (his monthly income at his divorce proceedings was $62.5k which isnt too bad for a broke guy).

You have to see how the TV deal structures.

But right now, even with a good size increase in the cap. It would seem that he was over paid.

The deal the Jazz did with Hayward made this market horrible.

With the salary cap going up like 40% in 2016, this seems like a no brainer for the Warriors.

If they really could have gotten Love for Thompson and Lee, they're idiots.

I just want to know why everyone loves Klay Thompson. He's a knock down shooter and a good, defender, but what does he do besides that to warrant all the money? Doesn't command double teams, isn't a passer or play maker and doesn't get to the line.

So glad my team has an FO with the stones to try to become a true contender instead of locking in a non-contender.

Every competent young wing is now a max or near-max player.

Compared to all of these deals Harden's contract is a bargain!

They are going all in on replacing Mark Jackson with Kerr plus the growth of younger players will take them to another level. We'll see.

In a couple of years, Harden will be begging his friends in the NBA for money because he is locked into a cheap contract. :(
