If you are not excited about the opening game for the Houston Rockets against the Lakers then I don't know what excites you. Maybe you can watch the Voice and see if some regular looking girl sounds like Mariah Carey
Must have missed it...when did Lin cry in the media? I saw the interview yesterday where he said he still had a great relationship with his Houston teammates and coaches. Was he crying that he missed them?
You missed the tweets posted a few pages ago or when he broke down like a school girl who wasn't invited to prom when we used "his number" to recruit Melo? This further proves my point on how delusional his fan base is
I specifically use the term "concern" and use it in the sense of "concerning the result of the game ", in your words - win or lose. And you accuse me of not being "excited" about the game. It tells a lot about you from a psychological standpoint. Let me assure you something, while you are from the 99 era but you are not the only one that cares about the rockets games, in your word - "excited" about it. The only thing that's comparable to the excitement I have on the game is your funny trolling. Please make them funny, that's like doubling the fun for all.
Sorry...haven't been following this thread. He tweeted something recently? I remember that he tweeted something about "turning the other cheek" in response to the ESPN article that brought up the Melo recruiting thing...seemed like a mature (non-crying) response to me. Also read this article from Houston yesterday...didn't seem like a lot of crying, and very much a classy set of responses to interview questions: http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2014/10/lakers-lin-considers-stint-with-rockets-a-positive/

Did Lin think he got a fair chance in Houston? "I don't know. I'd have to think about that one," he said.
— Mike Bresnahan (@Mike_Bresnahan) October 26, 2014
He thinks he didn't get a "fair" chance with Houston. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/linje01.html 153 regular season games and 10 play off games wasn't "fair". 4694 minutes played wasn't "fair" $16 million dollars wasn't "fair" No it wasn't fair...to Patrick Beverly and Isiah Canaan and Troy Daniels
If you read a little more carefully, he says he "didn't know" and that he'd "have to think about it more". He's obviously moved on...no crying involved...
Exactly. Lin let the fame go to his head. He's closer to a thief with that contract then he is to being humble.
"concern", I'm concerned that Lin fans might have to bother their parents when they are watching Pawn Stars to tune into this game.
did you miss the part where Asik mentally checked himself out of the team because he doesn't want to be a bench player, did you also miss the part that Lin felt he was slapped in the other cheek and that he was being treated unfairly in Houston. Why would you pay any amount of money to players who no longer wants to be in Houston unless they are starters.
Yesterday he did an interview and implied he didn't get a fair shake here (ludicrous) and regarding the Melo situation the class response would have been none at all. Outside of how he lives his life non basketball related (I have respect for him as a Christian) when it comes to basketball Lin is far from a classy individual. The Rockets organization drastically over paid him (their fault completely) but Lin should be grateful for that. It's not their fault he couldn't perform
The Brick layers association of Houston was treated unfairly Lin got paid $8 million a year to do their job.
Lin is too emo. He's not the first pg to get overrated then come down to earth. I remember Damon Stoudamire was awesome when he was on crappy teams that built the offense around him. Then he went to good teams and was just a role player.
I guess people will read into things and believe what they want to believe (am saying that about everyone, not just you). From what I've seen, he has done his best to try to avoid saying anything controversial or confrontational and talks fondly of his Houston teammates and coaches. Also, IMHO I don't think that someone should throw away their goals in life, their aspirations, hopes and dreams just because someone hands them a lot of money. Yes...the Rockets paid him $10M over two years (not sure where all these claims of $14-16M are coming from), but I'm also sure that someone with his Christian principles and competitive nature wanted to show that he was deserving of that money. And yes, he had a hard time doing that...when Harden was signed, Lin had to adjust his game accordingly...he tried, but wasn't completely successful, and I'm sure that bothers him that he couldn't. All that considered, I truly don't see any of his comments or behavior as "crying" or "lacking class"...
I'm not saying that Lin is a bad person or the greatest person ever. Ever since his rise to fame, he and his team have carefully crafted his image to the public through many things such as movies, youtube, PR, religion, social media and even pictures with fans. This carefully crafted image helps his brand and overall success. Why do you think he didn't like Carmelo wearing #7? It's not because of Carmelo's chances of becoming a Rocket. It would ruin the JLin7 brand. There are people who have a bad image by actually super nice in real life. A Jeremy Lin fan would think Lin can never do wrong and is the greatest person in the world. It's a great job of marketing by his pr team.
