Morey has always said we need 3 point guards on a roster But I think he's leaning on having someone like terry or Johnson to fill that part time rather than keep ish

I'm genuinely surprised by the cutting of Jeff Adrien. I think he brought a lot to the team personally.
I think Adrien being waived makes some sense as since Dmo and Black is playing well its hard for Adrien to get some playing time.
True, especially since he's already showed what he can do. However, I understand that Dorsey at least gives us another C to battle with Black whereas Adrien could never be a C.
Well is it really so hard to dig out another C out of the Dleague who is younger, bigger and has more potential than Dorsey?
You would think not, but probably yess. Adrien wasn't going to see the court much anyway with D-Mo showing improvement and TJ as a starter. McHale and Morey like the use of a small line-up so Papa will definitely see minutes there as well. That's 3 guys in the rotation for PF.

I think it is McHale's last year so we really see what is coming sooner than later New coach would prefer other players

The cuts played out exactly the way I thought they would. Morey gave Dorsey guaranteed money for a reason. Trade will happen at some point this year.
Well I sure hope we can either trade Dorsey or he redeems himself this season and is trade-able this next off season.
Here's how I think things will play out: TJones and DMo will get the majority of the PF minutes, along with some portion of the backup center minutes. If Dorsey shows he can handle backup center time, then Black will be sent to D-League unless he's just far and away the best option. looks right; end of bench= specialists. ha ha Black is somewhat insurance to Dorsey in case he tweaks his ankle again or the healing is slowed. Nothing wrong with 3 centers.
