You could also travel and watch every game that way. Seems to me if you don't do that, you're not a real fan. Sure, you might have to quit your job and maybe go bankrupt, but if you really supported the team, you'd go and cheer them on instead of just sitting at home and watching them on TV. You're clearly not a true fan.

I wonder how people who couldn't afford cable/sat felt when the Rockets/astros went form Paramount 20 to pay TV? I know! I didn't get to see the Rockets until i moved outta my house.

I don't feel sorry for people who could get comcast to watch games but chose not to switch. I switched but thats because it meant more to me than maybe someone else. I can't question their fanhood but i don't care when they cry foul either. its not a right to watch Pro Sports.

lol@more ''true fan" bs. I wonder if the irony from Aces isn't intentional.

Dude, you obviously don't care about the rockets that much. If you did, you would attend every game. Life is about choices.

Unreasonable sacrifice and supporting a monopoly should not be required in order to be a fan.

Might be a dumb question, but if services are available, is it possible to have Comcast and another provider at once?

I should think so. If both of your boxes have HDMI outputs, you connect them each to your tele and choose between your service provider by switching inputs. Bully for you if can pay both of those bills with your discretionary income!

There is no reason you couldn't. For example, I have Charter Internet and Dish Network. I can hook up the coax where my cable modem is to a Charter box and have Charter channels on that line.

Real fans say "That's no Moon" whenever they see Fitzpatrick throw a pass.

Just so we're clear...MadMax is not a real, true fan of the Houston Astros.

So what? Do you go to the road games? Do you buy every piece of merchandise they offer? If not, you've made a choice not to support the team to the fullest and are therefore not a real fan.

To the user who repped me with "I have the X11 system and it works" blah blah.

Comcast is constantly lagging behind DirecTV in technology and in the compression of their HD signal. The X1 system might be great. Too bad they didn't have it two years ago. Two bad they couldn't do the 5 shows at once on the dvr/live tv like DTV could. Two or three years ago.

Yay for Comcast! X1 is at the level of DTV, three years after DTV got to that point! I should pay more to another company now that they have finally caught up!

Nevermind that their HD signal is still worse.
Nevermind that their signal reliability is actually worse. (independent, 3rd party testing on top of my own anecdotal experience)
Nevermind that they cost more per box than DTV.
Nevermind that their customer service centers tend to be horrible.

I love the Rockets so I am supposed to may more money for a less enjoyable experience.

    Negative on that.

Okay the delay is regarding "furniture" and labels, I'm not kidding. More specifically Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E).

    From the article,

Apparently one reason for the delay and for the buyers’ concerns is that some of the equipment and wiring at the network’s downtown studios has been fitted with Comcast ID tags, and the buyers apparently are concerned that should the sale take place, Comcast will rip out all the wiring and all the equipment.

Judge Isgur wasn’t buying that argument, saying he believes that Comcast has operated in good faith during the case, but the buyers apparently remain concerned. Thus, the delay over furniture, fixtures and equipment.
