No college team deserves to be booed.

In what world does booing people inspire them? Have you ever been inspired to do better when you're mocked or heckled?

You guys all jumped on me last week, but Strong's coaching mistakes and lack of preparation continues. Maybe I was out of line, and yes, I am impatient, but I'm tired of this. Strong was supposed to be better than 0-23 against a team we beat last year at home.

    UT is...
93rd in total offense and 102nd in points per game.
34th in total defense and 53rd in points allowed per game.

AND THAT WAS BEFORE TODAY'S STINKER.

Question: How much blame would you assign to Mack vs. Strong right now for this train wreck of a season?

I blame Strong for hiring Watson. Watson is one of the worst OC in college football.

It's still 75% mack, these are his players.

If you watch texas gameday final, they think there was an attitude issue, where they weren't as hyped up as they should be for playing the #11 team .

when Strong gets 100% of his recruits who have the same desire, then I can judge him more clearly.

Right now, it's too pile up on him. We need patience and we don't want to turn into Michigan or Tennessee .

Teams usually take a step or two backwards before moving forward when a new coaching staff is put in place. I don't believe that the players and coaches don't care about winning. This is going to be a rough season for you guys. If it isn't any better in a year or two...then you know there is a problem that needs to be addressed.

They don't usually take a step back but they don't usually take a step forward. There is no trend one way or another. Let's not make excuses for Strong. It is what it is. He hasn't proven anything this year but he should have a few years to grow his team and find success based on the circumstances of the program that he took over. He just hasn't done any favors for himself.

The marquee win of the Charlie Strong era is against Iowa St. Cool.

You're right, I'm sure Mack would be killing it with this squad. Also, home vs. road means nothing in college football. I forgot that.

I'm honestly not sure who performed worse today: UT football or UT volleyball. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.

So this is pretty much how UT-Austin branch would have performed over the years if they had kicked out the trash like Strong has done?

If Strong had really kicked out all the trash, you wouldn't still be here.

UT is not going to become the team like Michigan or Tennessee. UT has too much money and Texas has too many good players to be recruited.

Michigan and Tennessee both have huge stadiums that bring in tons of fans.
They both have had issues finding new coaches after their icon coach left. Michigan was impatient when the let Rich Rod go.

I hope the Horns don't make the same mistake.

KState was brutal, but they have to move on and try to salvage the season.

Crappy game - I really thought we'd put together a more complete game and lose by a touchdown or so. We likely won't be favored to win any games the rest of the way since we play @ tech and @ okie state and play two teams who are flat-out better than us (tcu, wvu) at home. So, basically, 6-6 would take a miracle, and 3-9 is not completely out of the question. :(

I know your point, but big schools in Florida and Texas will not be bad for very long. Both states have so many great high school football players, so UT have to get a very good coach to recruit the players from the pool. Just loot at the Florida state team, they were bad for a few years, now they are the best. UT will be the best sometime soon if we can have a great coach.
