So you're just going to look at one game _ the game they lost their center...??? Regardless of that _ Kyle is in Cleveland working with a lot less on offense than what O'Brien is working with. So yea, I'm sure...
The best heaver of all time was Favre. And he had a spectacular arm and excellent mobility. And even most of those were ill advised and resulted in too many INTs.
We all knew that Fitz was just a bridge to the next qb of the Texans. O'Brien isn't staking his job on him. They have a plan. Let's see if it works.
Inexcusable? Meh. Who else was out there? McCown? Cassel? They blow too. We all knew that they'd sign a mediocre veteran qb to be a bridge quarterback. They weren't going to throw any new guy straight into the fire. And Bortles was the only guy that they loved enough to take in the first this last draft. But they weren't going to take him over a prospect like Clowney at number one. If Bortles had fallen to the teens then they probably would have made a move to get him. There were rumors to that effect. But the Jags popped him at three. Such is life. My guess is that they have a plan and they're sticking to it. O'Brien knows exactly what he's looking for in the next Texans franchise guy. They're scouting the college quarterbacks this year very closely and most likely a couple of those guys will be targets in the 2015 first round. Or hey...maybe O'Brien believes that their franchise qb ends up being Mallet/Savage. Or maybe they want to sign Bradford in the offseason to compete with Savage. We will see. O'Brien knows how important the qb position is.

Yes, but no one needs to say that, it's obvious. Calvin is just hurt, no one thinks he's not still a very good WR. With Andre, he's not hurt, he's just not the WR he used to be anymore. His route running has fallen off, he doesn't have the speed he once did (though he was never a burner), and he's cost his team at least one game with a fumble. People are justifiably questioning if he's still all that good. I think he's still a very good WR, but he's probably not the best WR on the Texans anymore.
People were saying the same thing in 2011 when he got hurt. Then he put up 2 years of 1400+ yards. Fitzsucktrick may be the only person who can stop Andre.
The difference is that in 2011 he was still looking good when he was healthy, now he's healthy, just not playing well. The concerns in 2011 were if he could stay healthy, now the concern is if he still has all that much left in the tank/how much does he still care. He's running poor routes and not getting separation anymore...that's concerning.
If he's running poor routes (not showing up in yards per route run) maybe it's because he knows the ball will get thrown behind him anyway.
Because Andre hasn't sucked his whole career like Fitzpatrick. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
That's fine, that's the reason you have a scapegoat. Deflect blame away from the aging receiver and blame the new guy having the best season of his career.
You really are. Andre Johnson isn't running routes well and he's not getting any separation, and you blamed Fitz for it.....that's pretty close to the definition. scapegoat [skeyp-goht] noun 1. a person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place.
