The missed coverages have been absolutely brutal to watch, hopefully those guys get their heads on straight and stop that nonsense. They'd have at least 2 more wins right now if not for just boneheaded blown coverages.

Gronk and Hernandez are/were good for New England _ because they are good. Both of those guys had 1st round talent coming out of college. Expecting our TE's to shine like those two shouldn't have been expected in the 1st place so that probably shouldn't be a negative... Also at Penn State O'Brien leaned heavily on his receiver and not his TE's.

My biggest surprise is that we have 3 wins... Thank goodness for Foster being healthy.

Most surprised (good)... Arian. Back surgery isn't something most players bounce back from. Dude is playing great behind a much worse o-line than '10 and '11.

Bullock is also a bright spot. He missed 30-yarders like it was going out of style last season.

Most surprised(bad)... Fumbles, mainly AJ. Never lost 2 fumbles in one season ever... and one didn't initiate from contact. Both happened at the worst time too.

Not really, he literally missed zero FG's from less than 40 yards last season.

Bullock has missed a 20 and 30 yarder this year.

    Fire him!

That'll happen, I've heard there's people who can't tell the difference.

    Good - Foster

    Bad - Personnel packages

Some of this stuff is mind boggling to me. I am fine with running the ball on 3rd and short... but don't do it in a tight formation (it rarely works). I am fine with throwing the ball... but don't go five wide on first down because that just totally eliminates the threat of a run.

    I love reverses.

I can't remember the last time a reverse didn't work.

What about a good ol flea flicker play...??? No way in h377 the defense would think Foster would give Fitzpatrick back the ball _ that's crazy... And crazy just might work.

Out of the Empty Backfield. . . the best we seem to have is some kind of Wide Receiver Screen

    Rocket River
BTW - Do we even have a fullback?

You mean the healthy Schaub from the first half of last season and the one that's been a healthy scratch for Oakland?

Fitz is pretty useless but I don't think he's been any worse than what Schaub had become.

That Daryl Morris looked good. He was getting reps over Joseph on Watkins but I guess he got injured?

Newton doesn't look like the worst player I've ever seen this season.

Bullock looks like a legit kicker this year.

The offense isn't as complex or "smart" as everyone keeps saying. I've seen all these sets run by every other team. Maybe it's dumbed down for Fitz not based on smarts but limited talent level.

Fitz may be playing the best football of his career but he's still a 3 and out machine and probably the worst qb in the league when down 10+ points.

At least I'm still excited to see Clowney's comeback.
