Wow, there was a time cyberx appeared in his own thread and the reaction was euphoric, frenzied.

Not so much now, on page 660, post 13,198.

But if Chase Budinger's contract is being considered, then is it so that we actually KEEP him?

Sure, we could use his three point shooting. His contract, however, blows.

And if we keep him, we would have a surplus at the three-spot. We know Ariza will take up a bulk of those minutes. MAAAAYBE Papanikolau could slide to the 4 on occasion, but I'm not feelin' it.

Any serious consideration of Cbud involves the price of doing business for Rubio. If Papanikolau remained a Rocket in the acquisition of Rubio, either Papa or Cbud would at that point likely be part of the trade bait to help us acquire a Power Forward Who Does Not Suck Completely.

McHale hated him when he was here, he just fell out of the rotation completely. He's always insisted on an 8-man rotation even when our bench was worth a crap.

Because he's on the trading block, duh! ;)

And just remove the names from the jerseys and put 'Cap Flexibility' on the back.

Man, you'd think Chase Budinger has a Kobe Bryant, Amar'e Stoudemire, Joe Johnson type contract. Guess we better pull out the spreadsheet, start sorting through every NBA contract, eliminate everyone who doesn't have a one year deal! Thanks Daryld Moreys!

an 8 man rotation is normal. players begin to grumble when minutes are thinned out.

Well, we're talking McHale, here. You either play 39 mpg or none. So the minutes are either fattened up or thinned out. Lots of potential grumbling all the way around.

I lol'd. Seriously though why would pay him that much when he plays the same position as ariza/pap? Unless you think pap plays the 2 and bud plays 3?

He;s a min contract player, playing on a 5m deal. He doesn't do anything to a good standard, he does a few things to a terrible standard (anything but shoot, including defense) and he's always injured.

I expect Father Christmas to play 4 and other 'underdefined' positions.

If you don't think he's a good player or can't help, then don't trade for him.

But if you think he can help, can still play but are turned off by his $5 million salary and/or because he might pick up his player option...

Just get out. I don't want to hear it. :)

It was deep. But as on target as a TD3.
