They are trying to follow the path of the comic book. I will put a spoiler the rest. Only click if you want to know. Spoiler Bob is basically replacing Dale in the comic book. In the comic book, he was going to leave the camp to kill himself when the cannibals knocked him out. He had been bitten in the arm. When he wakes up, he starts to cry and laughs when he shares with the cannibals that they were eating tainted meat.
Weak episode but I was kind of expecting that .... At the end when Bob first awakens I thought I caught a glimpse of the dude from the cabin that Tyrece was supposed to have killed ? Anyone have it on dvr that can confirm ?
I thought it was a solid episode. I expected a slower episode after such an explosive premier. Did not think it was weak at all. I know last season, I wasn't that amped for the next episode. I'm intrigued this season; I actually want to know what happens next.
I like the episode even more than the first. I think part of that is the cast is being thinned out. Let's hope it gets thinned out even further.
They even talked about it on Talking Dead (actor that plays Tyrese was the guest). The guy he thought he killed was among the people eating.
Thought it was a strong episode, just not as good as the first. Comic line is being followed more closely, that's for sure.
Normally a 'weak' episode or a couple of episodes are a precursor to more dramatic scenes, more thrilling content the next episodes.
the premier is probably my all time favorite episode so it was going to be hard to match with the second, but i thought it was still really good. set it up nicely for the next few episodes and they cleared the air b/t the "bump it" chick and maggie and rick vs carol as well. we have a lead on the beth kidnapping and they introduced a new character from the comics. i didnt notice, but someone i was watching with said that it looked like the guy tyreese beat up was with the cannibals. if so i could imagine them using that as a plot device to finally make tyreese "nut up". because he didnt kill that guy he was able to lead the terminus people to his group. people get eaten b/c tyreese didnt do what he should have done. in the comics he is a f***ing bad ass so hopefully he gets there in the show. this is not tyreese.
I'm 95% certain the guy that his hands around the baby's neck the previous episode was standing looking down on Bob. He had a bruised and bloodied face and everything. I agree, hopefully Tyreese does grow some balls. Maybe they're using his grip on reality and being good natured juxtaposed against his ability to turn into a berserk juggernaut as a device. Show that even the characters holding onto morality the hardest eventually slip to the other side. Maggie's hotness level is at an all-time peak right now.
If you know the comics, this weeks episode probably serves as a break from the action to resolve plot from last season (Tara at the Prison, Carol & her place w/ the group, Bob & Sasha's relationship). There was alot to cover before they could just throw themselves in the S#%$ storm that is waiting for them to deal with next. And yes, what is probably going to happen in the next few episodes will make the terminus scenes feel pretty weak. I dunno how long they will drag on the Gareth and the Hunter's story-line, but I'm assuming that gets dealt with pretty quick in the next couple episodes. Probably not much of a spoiler to say that things get pretty brutal with those guys and the survivors.
Yes, it was def that guy! I guess Tyresse didn't kill that mofo! Decent episode. Ok, what's the relationship between Carol and Darryl? Is it like a mom & son relationship? I thought there was something going on between those until Darryl and Beth were stuck together last season.
Anyone else notice the FML soggy Walker attacking the Priest was his wife in the picture he was looking at earlier? Glasses were a give away. And perhaps all the carvings on the trees and the Church are from Michone's Katana?
Don't think it was his wife, rather a member of his congregation. As for the tree carvings, I have no clue. But I have a feeling the scratches and carvings on the church are related to Gabriel's backstory.
Everybody is infected. You die, you turn. A zombie bite doesn't turn you, it kills you. So I guess the question is, would eating zombie tainted meat, even if cooked, kill you?
If they're newly turned, it might be alright. Most of the walkers out there are all rotten meat, so you'd get seriously sick and it would probably would kill you. EDIT: Just realized you're talking about meat tainted by a zombie bite or scratch. I would think it's fine, since the infection already exists in everyone.
I don't know where I expected this show to go (not having read the comics) but 12 seasons of the main group fighting other groups with pretty much the same formula of main group comes out on top but may lose a few characters and have reunion(s) due to separations that occur...all with zombie fodder in the background...seems like is going to get old pretty fast. I got my fill of that with the Governor storyline honestly. I guess they are trying to keep the sets changing and add new characters/relationships to keep it fresh as maybe the group doesn't settle now. At least they have a goal of getting to Washington per the cure but this show is reminding me a lot of "Jericho" where that show was town-on-town fighting after the nukes dropped to kick off the mayhem. The whole Washington twist almost feels like Battlestar Galactica looking for Earth...just this endless meandering until the last season when they have to wrap it up. I guess you wouldn't really have a story without multiple group-on-group showdowns, though. They need to keep this show as fresh and unpredictable as possible. If they do that, then I may be able to keep interested. They need some detours from the group-on-group fighting, though. Maybe they find an amusement park with a generator...and have some fun aka Zombieland? Or, get Bill Murray to make a cameo over several episodes? lol
You described every ongoing series (comic, book, TV) in existence... Full House, Fantastic 4, Friends... any story without a predetermined beginning-middle-end suffers from the same dilemma.
