I think if you look outside of the extremities of Islam, you'll still find that moderate and supposedly secular Muslim countries are still not a good place to live as a minority. For example, Kuwait, one of the richest countries in the world and considered one of the most free countries in the Middle East, I think we can all respect.

But they still have little respect for minority religions. It refuses to acknowledge any religion not sanctioned in the Quran, including Hindus who are more than 10% of the population. So even with a population of 600,000 or so people in Kuwait, they are not allowed to have their own place of worship.

Now that's their right to do as a country, but it goes to say, even the more liberal of countries still don't have a culture of tolerance. How can a Muslim from Kuwait respect Hindus or other Eastern Religions, if they don't even want to acknowledge them.
