That wasn't your question though, you said Coach K chose Gay in front of Parsons, so that meant Gay was better than Parsons. I countered with Rose was chosen in front of Lillard and Wall, but was he better than those two? Parsons would have played more than Rose also.

Did you think with Terry as the 3rd option on the 2011 Dallas team, they would have won it? At a certain point, the team needs to stop chasing big names and start upgrading clear deficiencies that are much easier to do, i.e. the coaching staff. Who do you think is a viable 3rd option that Houston can get that is better than Parsons? I don't think that player exists in the NBA currently. You might be able to try for the next crop (Wiggins, Parker, etc), but by then Harden would probably leave and you are back at square one.

You make it seem like defense isn't half the game...do you need me to link that pathetic Harden defense video?

Durant can work on a lot of things, being a better post player, better passer, but most importantly, a better leader. A better coach than Brooks would put Westbrook in his place and run the the offense through Durant, which is what should happen.

Spo is a great coach, he got D Wade and a bunch of scrubs into the playoffs. He convinced Lebron to play in the post more. He won 2 championships. You think McFail could have won championships with that Miami team? His only instructions would be "Play Harder!"

Y'all quit feeding kakatroll. This is all stale material.

If you want to talk about the Mavs and their new SF, go for it. This is the Dish after all.

The guy just doesn't stop working. I can't believe he was shooting line drives last season, his shot has a nice arc now.

Bulked up b/c he thought he would take on Nowitzki's position more, worked on his game, looks much more fluid on his drives, more arc on his shot, and most importantly, still no fear (drove at Lebron James like he's just an opposing player rather than thinking it's Lebron James).

I wish him nothing but the best. And he's going to be a great signing for Dallas.

dude, his shot looks way different this year! it really does have a nice arc now. i'm seeing some signs of a young robert horry in chandsome now. he has clearly been putting a lot of work in the offseason for this year. he's more muscular and his shot is WET now!

and those dunks?! watching him take it to the rack and throw it down has him looking like a young white t-mac.

One thing missing in the highlights: Any play where he just beats a defender off the dribble from a stationary situation.

Parsons is good in many aspects of the offensive game, but one thing he lacks is the kind of explosive first step or fancy crossover to just drive past a defender. He gets to the basket off cuts, in transition and while driving against guys closing out hard on him at the 3 point line (this is where the shot fake comes in handy).

He is a really good scavenger of high % baskets isn't usually the one to make the kill by creating the initial breakdown. This is likely why Morey is dubious about him as that "third star" even though he does appreciate Parsons' talent.

I think Dallas would be wise to play to his strength and may well have the kind of offense that creates more of these opportunities for him than he got playing off of Harden and Howard.

Why is he shooting 25% from 3 then?

its the preseason.. And so far i don't see any improvements. some of you just have that grass is greener on the other side syndrome. Because he's still slow af and doesn't make plays off the dribble.

This is why I continue to think there is no way he is going to take some major leap. He was already pretty damn good at what he is good at it. What he was good at it he did plenty of here and it sounds like that in Dallas they want him to do more of the same. He's a very good player, but until he shows an ability to create off the dribble his ceiling is going to be limited to a little better than what we have already seen.

Can somebody upload what the commentator of the Mavs @ Cavs said about Howard and Harden "We are the stars and everybody else are just role players" attitude. He said come playoff time Houston isn't going anywhere. I agree, **** Howard and Harden for having that POS attitude.

Because, the commentator is right, Houston isn't going anywhere come PlayOff time.
