Should I just post this over and over? People are acting like the guy has a sprained finger or something. He missed just two games in his college career. It's not like he sat out every single time he got a little bump or bruise.

Why does it seem to take so long to recover from the surgery?

Despite the perception that the surgeon trims out the inner part of the tear and thus the source of the pain, the patient is not instantly better. It’s true that the majority of the pain disappears fairly quickly. But it takes time for the swelling of the knee to go down. It also takes time to regain full motion and strength. The surgeon typically allows the patient to resume activities fairly quickly. After all, the patient is unlikely to do more damage to the meniscus by walking on it and starting exercise programs. Unfortunately it can take several weeks or even months to actually be able to resume exercise, especially repetitive impact, and return to the pre-injury level. Overall it can take 4-5 months before the patient is as good as he or she will be after a partial meniscectomy.

You sure do hate Bob McNair and company. Is there anything that you're positive about Texans-wise? You're really calling this guy a loser already? I don't even want to know what people would be saying about Bortles, Manziel, or Bridgewater if they had been picked.

I'm just sick and tired of the way the franchise is run. Not literally sick or tired just to the point of laughter when it comes to them, they wouldn't know guts or balls if it slapped them in the face. Boring and vanilla scared to take a risk ever. Really hard to root for.

I don't blame you for being jaded and disillusioned. I wanted Kubiak gone after '08. I knew he wouldn't be the coach to lead us to a title. And McNair stuck with him because he has always been seeking stability like the Steelers and Patriots of the world have. That's great and all if you are one hundred percent sure that he is the guy but there were numerous signs that Kubiak wasn't.
And I don't blame them for staying away from poor character players. But lately they've been opening up a bit to it. They coveted a guy like Irvin in 2012 who had been in trouble numerous times. They brought in Sam Montgomery thinking they might get a steal which backfired. It's a start at least.
And are you not happy with O'Brien? I think he has improvements to make as a coach but I like his personality and he's not a little woman who turns away from a field goal kick. I'm excited to see how his offense looks when he has all of the personnel that he wants in place.

So what... Coaches who have had success with Belichick haven't had much success elsewhere and now we have nothing but Belichick disciples. Right now I'm just wondering how many years it will be before McNair fire these dudes.

And if these reports are true _ Vrabel is F'n up already. He's pis'n off our #1 pick.

I'm glad you're here trying to inject some sanity into this board, but I'm not sure it's going to help. You can't fix stupid and there's a whole lot of that going around right now. If Clowney rushed back and suffered a setback the morons here would cry about him being "injury prone", if he doesn't rush back then the same people whine about him not wanting to play or not having any heart. It's a lose-lose scenario with those window lickers, they have their narrative that they want to go with and no matter what happens they'll claim that it proves them right. It's probably just best to let them go nuts with their BS and just call them on it later when it's obvious they were wrong.

I love this post so much, BTG. Houston sports fans love their little narratives that, by the way, was fed to them by local media. Most of them can't think on their own.

People were ready to get rid of both Foster and Andre during training camp.

This whole routine is like a hazing by the fans all players have to periodically go through.

He's already played and practiced way more than Royce ever did.

This. Imagine if I told you you'd have two #1 picks in 14 years, and you would end up with....

    1. Peyton Manning
    2. Andrew Luck

    God I hate the Colts...lucky sob's.

Thanks for posting this. He can't re-injure it so Clowney is just being a pus**y for not going out there at 90%. All I know is the prognosisis 4-6 weeks and this once in a generation freak athlete can't make it back in 6 weeks.

Oh come on. He is not being a p@@ssy. Was he a p@@ssy in college when he missed snaps with his tummy hurting? Was he when he missed practices because he was banged up? Was he when his own college coach called him out on national television? Just because a respected reporter claims the coaches and players are upset doesn't mean anything. Look, the fact he cannot reinjure his healed injury really doesn't mean anything.

What is really important to remember is that the turf in Reliant has caused this whole "injury prone" narrative. Hell he shouldn't even play against the Steelers, we don't want him slipping on the turf again. In fact he should just not play home games because of the turf. Hell we don't want him having concussion symptoms again so he probably shouldn't play at all. He can sit on the sidelines in a plastic bubble holding a sign "#1 PICK 2014" and inspire softies like Watt and Cushing.

    No it doesn't.

    What it proves is...

Vrabel: "Get your soft lazy a$$ out there."

If the trainers and doctors believe that is best, then I agree.
