Yep...LeBron, Durant, Melo, Gay, Leonard, George, Batum, Deng is arguable, and I honestly think Ariza is arguable as well
I miss rookie year parsons he crashed the boards and really took pride in guarding the other teams best player. I am not trying to knock his hustle. Being known as a offensive player gets you paid. I can clearly see a difference in his style of play between then and now.
I'm really sure why you think 19 pts for a max player is "killing it". For a 1M guy sure, but for 15M he should be actually doing more than 19 ppg, especially if he's not guarding the opponent's best player or being the focal point of his team's offense.
He had many games like that also last season, until he went missing in the playoffs. Meh ... let's see him do it a whole season.
Somehow the lockerroom cancer Gay is better than Parsons after half a good season with the Kings? Ask any Grizzlies or Raptors fan would they choose Gay or Parsons. Leonard is a way better defender, but he benefits from playing with the Spurs with a high motion offense. How good would he have looked with the Rockets last year playing with iso Harden?
PG is better, but Batum and Deng? Deng is a better two way player, but again with Leonard, he had the benefit of playing in a superior defensive system with Thibs. How'd he look with Cleveland? I can assure you Parsons will look a LOT better with a top 3 coach helping him. Batum is a good 3 point shooter, that's it. He has no offensive capabilities and is really a 3 and D guy. He did shut Parsons down during the playoffs, but he's also a lot more experienced. Parsons had inexperience and McFail holding him back. I also love how Rockets fans keep saying he's not worth the max. Well in two years, it won't be the max anymore. The Mavs will have a great piece for the equivalent of $11-12m a year in today's salary cap. Morey tried to be cute again, and it completely backfired on him.
Ask coach k and coach thibs who would they choose between gay and parsons Ask coach pop who would he chooses between Leonard and parsons And ask parsons at now if batum is better
Except he did that last season too, you forgot he guarded Lillard because Lin couldn't? It did lead to that Lillard 3 in the end, but you know what happens. I can understand 99ers talking bad about Lin, because PG is a deep position and in the end he will probably be around average, but Parsons is a stud that will keep getting better. I can't wait for the AOF (Ariza only fans) to pop up during the season trying to justify Morey's moves.
What's wrong with money's moves? He prioritized Dwight over parsons? He went for Chris Bosh? Or he didn't match Dallas offer to parsons? Or he signed Ariza instead of someone else?
That was a courtesy call to a veteran because he was already on the 2010 team and was familiar with the coaching staff. Derrick Rose made it in front of Lillard and Wall, you think he deserved it?

He's a bad coach but he didn't hold back parsons and lin Parsons actually flourished with Mchale And Lin is just meh
#3 was the incorrect move. He cared about "asset flexibility" instead of a team that established a core to win. Now the Rockets will be in limbo for the next 3 years until Morey can bring in someone like Durant or Westbrook, because it doesn't look like he will settle for less. Good luck trying to get that to happen.
A bad coach holds back everyone's ability. Mike Brown held back Lebron, McFail is holding back Harden's potential, etc. etc. A superior coach can do wonders for a player's career. I can't even imagine Durant's ability if he ever teams up with a competent coach.
Aside from hardens focus on defense, what else can he improve on? Same with durant? So you're sayings spoelstra was a great coach?
