Really, really bad is hyperbole. Just say bad or mediocre. No need to be over the top.

Really...??? So does Seattle, Detroit, Buffalo, St Louis _ have 3-4 DC's...? Did the Giants have a 3-4 DC when they won the super bowl...? I see New England is trying to switch to the 4-3 and they have 3-4 DC's.

"@BstrawRadio: .@JaysonBraddock just joined me & @PaulyGSays, says Clowney won’t play vs. Pitt-cause he don’t want to. Work ethic of Louis Nix. Yikes!"

I don't know how to post tweets but this is Brien Straws tweet.

And apparently it's Vrabel that's not happy.

Really... That's the main reason they hired Romeo..??? Wow...!!! That's ridiculous.

I don't "think" Braddock would just make stuff up. Maybe it's true or Clowney has a hater in the camp.

    <iframe id="cbsembed" width="560" height="315" src="http://cbsloc.al/1CyUXXK" frameborder="0" /></iframe>

Exact quote from source: "He's frustrated he keeps getting injured; wants to come back at 100%."

"He honestly doesn't want to play but they're trying to force him. He doesn't want to play."

"Clowney is not going to play. He doesn't want to."

It's an immaturity issue. ... You hope having a guy like Watt, that was the whole thing we promoted in the media, that J.J. will get him up to his level. Also having a guy like Mike Vrabel on staff that is there to push him. A guy who has been in the trenches, been under Crennel, and can talk the talk, walk the walk. Funny thing is, when I asked who was most venomous with this, it was Mike Vrabel. Source said Vrabel said "You're playing this week, even if I have to drag you to a game." Another text: "Vrabel wants to actually put on pads and go outside with him and put him through drills." That shouldn't surprise you at all about Mike Vrabel.

Is he frustrated and mad not only with Vrabel but the medical staff too because they think he can be out there?

With Clowney, it's not that they...it's almost come to the point that he feels like it could be everyone is against him. Everyone's telling him he should be out there, should be doing this, should be doing that. ... I asked "What do the players think about the situation?" His exact response: "LOL They definitely think he's a diva." I will say, I don't want people to think the whole locker room is thinking he's a bust, not good, a baby, there is that sentiment but he did say a lot of guys are cool with Clowney, he got friends. He pointed to some of the vets and guys who have been in the league.

    How does this play out?

Over time I think he matures. The source texted yesterday "He's out. Plain and simple. Not a 50/50 decision." Today I asked again. "I told you yesterday. He's out. He doesn't want to play." I think it was telling that today Clowney and O'Brien state it's Clowney's decision. Is the number one pick really holding all the cards? ... O'Brien has to have control. That's the type of position he likes to be in. To have a rookie come in and dictate the situation, it was almost, not to put word in my sources' mouth, it was as if he was saying if he was the same pick as Louis Nix, he would have been put on IR the same way as Nix because they both have that work ethic of not coming back from injury quick enough.

How is that ridiculous? Crennel is a guy who both Vrabel and O'Brien can bounce stuff off of. He has seen it all and done it all. No better mentor than that.

And O'Brien is a pretty blunt guy. If he had real problems with Clowney he would call him out. He had no problem calling out Louis Nix. It's not like Clowney has a sprained ankle or something. He had surgery for a partial tear in his meniscus which can take up to four or five months to fully heal. Why would we or anybody want him out there if he still doesn't have full range of motion?

Calling out a 3rd round pick to the media is a little different than calling out the #1 overall pick in the draft. There was no mention of O'Brien calling out Nix on ESPN, but if he did it for Clowney it would be the #1 story.

I honestly don't see how anybody can be totally surprised.

The only consistent negative on him entering the draft was that people had very different opinions about how much he wants to play football. That was repeated over and over. You'd have to be willfully obtuse to have dismissed it as a concern.

Nobody has ever questioned the physical talent when he actually gets on the field.

His talent is so eye popping that I think people didn't want to believe the rumors and reports during his last year in college. I didn't. He'll eventually come back and have some amazing games, and some amazing years. I know he'll probably go off for 20 sacks during his 4th contract year for the Texans. I just hope the Texans are not stupid enough to give this guy long contract with guaranteed money.

This guy sounds like a diva. I hope he can put it together and stay healthy but these are very bad signs.

Anybody who judges a draft pick this soon can't be taken seriously. Get back to us in two years or so. People did the same thing with Kareem and Duane among others.

O'Brien isn't full of *****. He wouldn't say "I think he's worked hard to get back to this point" if it wasn't true. He would either call him out if he felt it was needed or not say anything at all.

"At the end of the day, that’s the most important thing," O’Brien said. "What’s the best thing for the player. So there’s a lot of communication between JD and myself and Geoff Kaplan. He’ll tell us what he can do. He really will. I think he’s worked hard to get back to this point."
