This makes more sense than the rumor in the OP.

I would much rather give Pap playing time than retreat Bud.

Morey already on record saying that we are the team that finds the chase budingers in the draft, not pay the "hey-bud-let-partay" types

Morey/Mcfail is just doing the wolves a favor by helping them get 'leverage' in Bud's trade negotiations. We do want to build up some goodwill in this league with other GMs. Just saying..........

Fail. You trade a first rounder for a second rounder while the first rounder has more potential? Is there sarcasm?

I'm kinda of surprised Budinger is a human trampoline in the league these days. This guy could sky high for a spike back in volley ball.

He's definitely an upgrade over Garcia but at the expense of larger contract is this question. I wonder if the new media deal/CBA could help us in this situation.

Yeah Man, Let's Party! Don't see a role for him anymore in Houston though.

His injury history has a lot to do with that.

we're set at the SF with trevor and Papa...we need another player who can create and score by himself...we've already got lots of spot up shooters camping outside

Based on Papa's performance, it looked like he could do that too. But then again that was just me. I'm excited about this guy.

    why not?
Rockets love to re-acquire their former players
    we got Lin, Brooks before
this season we got Ariza, Dorsey, Adrien, Ish
    adding Bud won't hurt
i bet next season we will try to trade Parsons back

Not really. The Wolves may like Kostas, but they already have a logjam at the wing as is. Martin, Wiggins, LaVine, Brewer, Budinder. They're looking to dump Bud, at least, in part, because there isn't enough playing time for all those guys, so unless they find another taker for Martin or Brewer, it would make more sense for them to ask for future second rounders rather than Kostas.

To me, a Rubio-Budinger package would likely include: NOP 1st, Canaan, Terry, non-guaranteed contracts and possibly a few second rounders and/or draft rights to Euro stashs.

I have a good feeling about Nick Johnson being the next in that list of 2nd rounders. Too soon to know for sure, but looks promising so far

Maybe Papanikolau to Detroit. Jerebko's expiring to Minnesota, along with whatever else, and we get Rubio and Cbud. Something along those lines.

DM may be after Bud as a replacement for a traded/to-be-traded Papa. I really like Papa though.

True. But Kostas is an asset. Terry isn't. Yes, could probably finagle it into a 3-team deal with someone. Don't know about Detroit. About the only piece they have that would work would be Jerebko and I simply can't see them trading Jerebko for Bud. Stan is smarter than that. But....if they did...that would be a double win for us. Rubio and Jerebko.

Chase is useless when his shot isn't following which is the reason Parsons started over him as a rookie even though Parsons couldn't shoot free throws.
