Why? Morey loves 2nd round picks and we have a glut at PF, Adrien and DMo are better than Jones, and Bud solidifies the SF depth. Makes everyone happy.
I think everyone is referring to a "riddle" he posted in one of the preseason game threads. He alluded to us getting a former player by mentioning "homecomings". So unless I missed another one of his posts, that's what I'm going with.
A second rounder isn't nearly big enough of a sweetener for TJones. Give me a first round and the real discussion can begin. CBud has negative value, I would think. Which would be kind of funny since we traded Bud for a 1st rounder and used that to select TJones... now we would trade TJones back for CBud and another first rounder.
That would be good too but I'm not sure anyone values Jones that highly. Also, we'd probably have to use someone else looking at their roster because I'm not sure they'd want another tweener PF since Thaddeus Young is already their starter.
You want to be the team that drafts the Bud, not the team that trades for the Bud with a $5mil player option.
