Why didn't they do this in the dome? http://blog.chron.com/traveler/2014/10/texas-ski-resort-planned-for-grand-prairie/#27563101=0 Instead, South Oklahoma gets it.
haha, i am going to breck for xmas. we go every year but still it would have been cool to have a place like that.
We should get a shuttle and make the Astrodome a history museum of space travel ... are there any shuttles left?
This man speaks the truth. I swear Aspen, at all time of the year is like 60% Houston natives staying there.
Majority oppose spending money to turn Astrodome into world's largest indoor park tl;dr - Harris county voters aren't brain-dead r****ds
This is the difference between New York and Houston. They took old rail road tracks and made it into the high line park. Houston doesn't care about stuff like that.
If the high line was a subway, I don't think the voters in NY would have turned it into a park. Just a hunch.
Might have... but its Apples to Oranges. Houston is not NY. Even if Houston was closer to NY, the Astrodome area is completely different. And of course, the hi-line is, well, high. In any case, if the astrodome was downtown or close, absolutely there'd be something unique done with it to maintain a sense of history, maintain property value, while adding something meaningful and useful to the city infrastructure. That is not the case here. The Astrodome should have been imploded long ago....
