Novak could shoot off the dribble very well in college. He's just too slow to create his own shot in the NBA.

BTW, TMac once said that Novak was the best shooter he's ever seen. Knee jerk is knee jerk.

We knew he is a good shooter but I was impressed with his b.handling skills, seems he worked on it this summer

I listened to an interview with Morey last year; he said Daniels is the best shooter to come through the rockets program in a long time. He noted Novak as being great but he thought Daniels was the best pure shooter.

Think it's plausible at this point he could be the best shooter of all time, but needs to do it on the big stage when it counts, oh wait, he did that!

Chris Mullin. In has last year in Golden State (1996-1997) at the age of 33 and playing 35 minutes a game, he shot 55.3% OVERALL, including 60.2% from 2-point range and 41.1% from 3-point range. I remember telling my friend about it, and he couldn't believe it.

The Rockets definitely need to look at some film of how Atlanta uses Korver to get him 3s. Daniels need more looks.

We have a guy who is probably a better set three point shooter than him. His name is John Diebler. The reason we own his rights, but he is over seas is because he is a 6"6' Steve Novak -30 lbs.

    No.

Korver does it himself by reading defenses and making screens out of players that aren't really screening just based on angles. Korver gets Korver open.

Steph Curry shoots like Chris Jackson/Abdul Rauf did in college. Chris was automatic in college.

I made up some shooting categories...I'm sure they could be finer. Troy is as good as it gets in the first category.

1)open 3s; examples: Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Dell/Steph Curry.

2)Under duress is another category. (Vinnie Microwave, World B., Larry Bird, Purvis Short all could shoot it in your face with the ball in their hands or catch/shoot off picks). Purvis was fun to watch with his rainbow shot and behind the head release. With the over-coaching now days we might never see those mechanics make it to the NBA. I think all the players I mentioned in this category have a quick high release.

3)Creation of a shot is probably another category.(Kobe, Tmac, Harden)

Of course, there are players in the 1st category (that Troy is in) that can do a little bit of 2 & 3.
