Genesis have reunited for the first time in almost 40 years for a BBC documentary about their career.
Five members of the band – Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins and Tony Banks – found themselves in the same room for the first time since 1975.
They reunited for Genesis: Together and Apart, a feature-length documentary to be broadcast later this year on BBC Two.
Gabriel left the band in 1975 and and other members later went on to solo projects.
The three founder members – Banks, Rutherford and Collins – played a farewell gig in Rome in 2007, to a crowd of 500,000.

There have been many rumours of the reformed five-piece playing together again.
Gabriel said last year: “It’s never been ruled out. I’m trying to picture a time when it would top my priorities list though.
“Actually, I was thinking about that the other day. We’re quite lucky. Looking back at other bands of our generation, there’s usually one or two missing now. So you do get a sense of the clock.”
Hackett has said a full-blown reunion is "possible but unlikely". And Rutherford told the Telegraph earlier this year that there would be no new material from the band.
“Older artists have had their time,” he said.
“People who like you have got a bunch of your songs on the iPod and that’s enough. If they’re going to buy new stuff, they’re going to buy something else.”
Missing from the line-up is Anthony Phillips, another founder member of the band who left in 1970 after suffering from stage fright.

If Gabriel is in I am in. Granted, they aren't making new music, but I would much rather here some Lamb Lies Down on Broadway than Invisible Touch.

That article is way off base. When Gabriel left the band in 75 the other three went on to record multiple albums together as Genesis. They had their most success with Phil Collins as the lead singer after 75.

Should have happened 20 ago when they still had their health and their voices. If you watch the last tour Collins did, he looked flat out miserable on stage. More than a tour, I'd prefer an album, but there's just not enough money in that to tempt them.

I like some of the stuff they did in their 80s pop era, but to me Duke was their last great album from front to back.

As an old dude, I am not against the one last blast before senility sets in. If they can do it and they want to do it they should do it. I plan on seeing The Who because, once it's gone, it's gone forever. There will probably never be anything else as thrilling for me in my whole life, much less from here forward, as Baba O'Riley at 110 decibels.

(and hell, with today's electronics, no one will miss a note)

If you think Phi Collins will be out there trying to be a rock star at age 50, you are sadly, sadly mistaken.
