Durant has been an Iron man for OKC. 6-8 weeks, they will almost certainly be conservative this early in the season. Probably miss 15-20 games, gonna be interesting how the team will do with Westbrook being the man. We get them Nov 16th, so he'll probably still be out. Ill take it.
How unfortunate. Missing 6-8 weeks in the beginning of the season isn't so bad I guess? I think they can still make it to the WCF.
In this conference, there is definitely very little room for error. I am predicting that the Thunder are going to be playing catch up in the standings because of this injury. I don't think the Thunder have a good enough bench to sustain the huge gap that is going to be left by Durant.
Well Durant was hanging out with Clowney a few weeks ago and now he is out for 2 months... Coincidence?
Sucks to hear. I wonder how Westbrook will react to this. Will he like having his own squad, leaning him towards leaving when he's an FA? Or will he realize that he needs to stay and be KD's number 2?
How about this gem? @johnschumannWestbrook played only 41 minutes without Durant last season: on.nba.com/1vVygfm Attempted 35 (!) shots in those 41 minutes.
