Yes, he had full control of handing the ball off. He's throwing the ball more this year than he ever has before and his current pace would have had him about 19th in the league last year in pass attempts, even lower in pass attempts per game. The fact that the kid has great wheels and is doing really well with the few pass attempts he does have doesn't change the style of QB he is. He's a manager, and that's not a bad thing. In using him in that manner, Seattle has absolutely maximized his potential as a QB, which is awesome. I'm not sure he's as good anywhere else. Think of it like Drew Brees in San Diego vs New Orleans.

One things for sure. there is all ton of qb depth in this year's draft, if the Texans don't pick one of them they're idiots.

    Mariota
    Winston
    Prescott
    Hundley
    Petty
    Cook

IMO it's too early to say that because that's what they said this time last year and it turned out that the class was pretty weak.

Doesn't matter if he's a source or not, he hit right on point...

Due to the fact that one of my major contracts is in Seattle, I have been to more seattle games than houston...

I've even had a chance to talk to the great Warren Moon and if you listen to his commentary and others in seattle they all stated the same thing.. Russell has one job to manage the game and not to try and force anything to lose the game....

Last year Russell still had the ball and chains on, this year Pete has loosened them greatly..

Go ahead and take Petty off that list. He's a good college qb but top many flaws in his game. Bad footwork and has been inaccurate this yr.

Agreed on Winston. Rapists don't belong on the Texans.

Yeah, I was going to say that earlier as well, he seems like a mental midget in his personal life, I'm not sure his talent is worth the risk.....not to mention, there could actually be legs to the rape thing.

Remii they were also cheap contributors they pay them hefty like Brady or Vince. Mallet hasn't contributed nothing to warrant an extension or pay raise.

He have to start somewhere correct. Brady or Big Ben wouldn't be who they are if they didn't get a chance to prove themselves.

Like you stated Fitzpatrick is horrible so why not give him a chance.
The OLB we acquired off the Ravens practice squad played a lot against the Colts. Why is he getting a shot, easy: Mercilus is terrible, yes he had a good game against the Colts. But him and Reed are playing like trash.

Mallet would get a chance if he was a good QB. Hell he'd still be in NE if was a good QB, he's not.

Ummmm dont ya think Fitzy would still be in St. Louis, Cincinnati, Buffalo or Tennessee? But lets go ahead and ride with the Amish Rifle all year and have no direction going forward next year.
