Yes, he had full control of handing the ball off. He's throwing the ball more this year than he ever has before and his current pace would have had him about 19th in the league last year in pass attempts, even lower in pass attempts per game. The fact that the kid has great wheels and is doing really well with the few pass attempts he does have doesn't change the style of QB he is. He's a manager, and that's not a bad thing. In using him in that manner, Seattle has absolutely maximized his potential as a QB, which is awesome. I'm not sure he's as good anywhere else. Think of it like Drew Brees in San Diego vs New Orleans.

Doesn't matter if he's a source or not, he hit right on point... Due to the fact that one of my major contracts is in Seattle, I have been to more seattle games than houston... I've even had a chance to talk to the great Warren Moon and if you listen to his commentary and others in seattle they all stated the same thing.. Russell has one job to manage the game and not to try and force anything to lose the game.... Last year Russell still had the ball and chains on, this year Pete has loosened them greatly.. T_Man
