They are human so they get tired dude. They were on the field for 90% of the 1st quarter. That's not an excuse, its a fact.
That's not true... St Louis was ranked close to the top of the league in sacks last year and their secondary still sucked.
I think Brown actually blocks Jones at one point. This looks like one of those Breaking Madden gifs. Except it's real...
The Seahawks gets a lot of consistent pressure on the opposing QB'S and their secondary is ranked up there with the best. When we got pressure on the Skins, and Bills our secondary looked dam good. Why because we were getting pressure Remii.
That was my EXACT thought when I saw it first, but I didn't know how many here would get the reference.
Sure get stops but come on we all know they won't get stops all the time. They did get some stops and got right back into the game.
Well they didn't get any stops in the first quarter which is why they didn't get any rest in the first quarter. The onside kick recovery was beyond inexcusable, but allowing 24 first quarter points is as well.

This is pretty bad. Brown has been regressing the last couple of years, Jones has never really been that good and XSF is a rookie with a long way to go. I'm also thinking the o-line may be having a hard time transitioning from zone blocking and going more to man to man blocking. I think that's why Meyers has regressed. Meyers even admitted it was a major adjustment for him at one point during training camp.
The way I see it, the positive is that our offense fought back and had 2 opportunities to take the lead at the end of the game in a game that the defense allowed 24 first quarter points to the best offense in the NFL. At what point did any of us think that was a possibility this season? It shows that the Texans can hang with pretty much anyone when they are on their game and can look absolutely hapless when they aren't on their game.
The onside kick was the key moment in the game. Completely put the momentum on Indy's side. Defense was so shocked that they gave up a long TD.
I don't care if the screens were working or not. Foster was a beast in the 2nd half and if you're going to go down _ go down with him... Not Fitzpatrick. And that's Andrew F'n Luck... You do know he put up over 30 points on Seattle's defense last year and beat San Francisco's defense as well and playing in Houston is a home game for him because this is his spot... I'm not going to crucify Romeo for that... I just think it's funny as hell that the Texans offense made Indy's defense look like the 2000 Baltimore Ravens in the 1st half and y'all are letting O'Brien skate when all of the talent is on the offensive side of the ball (except for J.J.) and O'Brien is an "offensive genius".
J.J. Watt, DE: +8.2 Breakdown: Initially it appeared the Colts were going to take him out of the game, devoting more blockers to Watt than he could handle. But whether they got overconfident or felt they needed to slow down Whitney Mercilus, Watt saw more one on one match ups as the game went on. The result was inevitable. Two more sacks, two more hits, two more hurries and two more batted passes. Throw in four defensive stops in the run game (including a tackle for a loss) and you’ve got what has become the standard Watt display. Signature Play: With 12.15 to go in Q3 he breezes past Cherilus before sacking Andrew Luck. Xavier Su’a-Filo, RG: -5.4 Breakdown: Welcome to the big leagues. A first start in place of Brandon Brooks and a first taste of how difficult life in the NFL is. The second rounder was exposed in pass protection on multiple occasions as the Colts linemen found success against him. In fairness he looked to settle down somewhat in the second half but the game looked a little quick for him. Signature Play: It was early on (Q1, 6.22) that he allowed Cory Redding to beat him inside, with the pressure forcing him into a sack courtesy of Erik Walden. Whitney Mercilus, OLB: +6.2 Breakdown: As good as he has ever looked. Mercilus showed off some explosion as he makes a bid for playing time before Jadeveon Clowney returns. It wasn’t just that he was getting pressure (something he has long struggled to do) but he really made life hard for the talented Anthony Castonzo, routinely turning the corner on him. Signature Stat: Earned a higher mark for his work in the run game (+3.5) than his pass rushing, leading the team with five defensive stops against the run including three for a loss.
I've been away visiting family Baller and came back to a pleasant 3-3 surprise... The Seahawks use their secondary to create pressure for their defensive line.... Because they have guys who can cover... That's why you don't see players on their defensive line making big money... They also have LB's that can cover as well.... It's one thing to play quarterbacks like EJ, RG3 , and a rookie like Carr _ because those guys will help beat themselves... Different story when dealing with teams with better quarterbacks. Good thing for the Texans is they don't have to face too many good quarterbacks.
We have the GOAT!!! Say it people, WE HAVE THE GOAT Props to Mercy for playing really well yesterday. The Texans might benefit by playing more Hybrid 5/2 on 3rd down this year
Mercy was great in my opinion (not J.J. great but regular human great). Should have had a sack as well but he just couldn't get Luck down....
