Like I just wrote in game thread, why did the organization think bringing in a TO machine as their game manager was a good idea. The guy not only has TOs but back breaking TOs at times. Just stupid by O'brien and this organization to think he would change once he got here. He wasn't THE reason the team lost tonight but he sealed the deal with a careless play at the end.
Just had to drop in to express my dislike for Fitzpatrick(Rams & Texans fan here) and his stupid beard. I can't think of a more ill-fitting beard on anyone. Brett Keisel has a similar beard but it just fits Keisel perfectly. With Fitzpatrick i just want to slap it off his stupid face. Damn Texans.
we're talking about a franchise who has never gotten it right at the QB position. peyton manning - no thanks, we got matt schaub teddy bridgewater - no thanks, we got fitzpatrick & will draft savage in the 4th
Bridgewater has done nothing but carve up an atrocious Atlanta defense in one game (and gotten injured - a major concern for him coming out of college). Lets give him more time before we say we should have drafted him (although he is likely a much better option than anyone we have now and Su'a-Filo looks terrible).
you said fitzpatrick is an average starting qb... so your qb evaluation ability is irrelevant to me. sorry.
Last nights loss was not on Fitzpatrick. Fitz didn't fail...15/23 200+ yards and 0 interceptions? It's our o line. That last play he fumbled was all on the terrible O line who didn't protect the QB. Yes Tom Brady or Manning would have hold on to the ball. But the O line is all the blame.
That dang Fitzpatrick. He caused Andre's fumble, Bullock's miss, the DB's bad coverage of Hilton and the other receivers, and Luck's touchdowns. DANG IT.
Good you mentioned all those because at least we know he played NO part in the final fumble. Yanno, let's put all the blame on his O-line and Hopkins for not going for the loose ball. Fitzy definitely protected the ball properly as he tried to step up and out of the pocket. Yep.
^ Don't know if SRS. Yeah, he should have protected the ball a lot better, but... one fumble, even if it's at a crucial point of the game, shouldn't be the ENTIRE reason we lost that game, which we were entirely close to winning. I will concede he had part to blame, but I'd say about 10-20% of all blame.
Here we are again. I predict the Texans establishing the run in the first and Fitzpatrick dominating through play action thereafter. He will probably rely on the TEs more than any previous game.
Well he had a better season than I expected and was on pace to have his best season. He should be back next year as a back well. Also I'm optimistic about OBrien's acumen in terms of QB.
