Actually Foster got it going in the 2nd half and started softening up Indy's defense...

But if you want to talk adjustments O'Brien has made... How about putting the game in Fitzcraptrick's hands last sunday against dallas on a crucial 3rd and 2 instead of just giving the ball to Foster and tonight with 2 minutes to go he starts off with an empty backfield and taking Foster out of the picture again and putting it all on Fitzcraptrick.

Fitzpatrick has his moments and will make some good plays during the course of the game. But when the game is on the line he usually finds a way to fxxk it up....

So you actually think Fitz will beat Big Ben on the road? C'mon man. I love the texans too but lets be realistic around here. Texans next victory won't be until the 26th vs Titans.

Well I think the combo of Watt and Clowney will put Ben on his back pretty often and will help shut down the run. 3 TD's should be enough to put them away.

I get that you think that football is a one on one game played between QB's, but you'll have to understand that I see it as a team game. The Steelers don't have a good team and it's not Big Ben vs Fitz.

Ok you enjoy that kool aid. I'm sure the steelers feel the same way about the texans.

i wouldnt look for clowney to dominate just yet. he'll have rust to shake off & texans will ease him in.

Fair enough, you enjoy fluffing up all of the Texans' opponents.

The Colts are a LOT better than the Steelers and the Texans outscored them 28-9 in the final 3 quarters. Anyway, I get that it's not optimistic time around here, the sky is falling and whatnot, but there's no reason to puff up teams like the Steelers like they are good.

Not fluffing at all. Will love to hear your excuse after they lose that game.

Well feel free to hold out hope that the Steelers win but the odds aren't in their favor.

Brutal loss tonight, really thought we would pull it out. That Bullock missed 37 yarder killed us along with the AJ80 fumble... We would only have needed a FG to win on the last drive if Bullock had hit that FG earlier.... On the bright side, hopefully Smith is fired after this season... LBs, secondary, O-line look horrible. QB is mediocre at best. We need to make a ton of roster moves moving forward. Hopefully we can pull off some magic and somehow win the division, but those chances likely ended with the loss tonight IMO. Hopefully with Clowney back, JJ won't have to do it all on his own and we can get to 9-7 and sneak into the playoffs.

The stealers have a much better running back than Indy and the defense will have their hands full with Brown, but the stealers can be ran on and Foster has a few extra days of rest (they can be passed on as well). So I wouldn't exactly call it a slam dunk but the Texans haven't beating any good quarterbacks yet and can't always depend on J.J. to score touchdowns on the defensive end.

You did say the Colts will suck this year though. Next time though.

You're right it's a team game, but the Texans with the exception of a couple (2-3 ) of outstanding players (jj watt being one of them), the Texans team as a whole has many
    weaknesses.

I think a lot of people here are looking at players this year and thinking they are a version of their past selves (ie Cushing and J Jo) when clearly they are not.

    1) OL inconsistent blocking..lacks quality depth. ie brooks is out had to play Sua Filo who looked clueless out there. Unfortunate about DQ..he may have been an answer
    2) Aging secondary. JJo has lost a step. Swearing tries for the strip rather than fundamental tackles
    3) LB Core - Cushing..not the same player. Clowney- we will see what he can do. Merciless. average player.
    4) Lastly QB - biggest problem on the Texans. As much as Fitz tries, plays hard, he does have short comings and those short comings do not fit well with the offensive strengths of the team. We have two WR that are great deep ball threats. We dont throw down field that often.

So it's not like the Texans are all world.

Like what does a prediction like this accomplish? It's not like the Texans can't beat the Stealers, we might even be favored. I just never get when people are like "No, dude, we will lose? I mean Big Ben? C'mon!" Not how sports work. Dismissing the possibility of a victory against a not-great team is the opposite of 'being realistic'.

Nice, can't wait to hear the obligatory "I'm so glad I was wrong! Go Texans!" or the "Told you so!" posts. This is a football game man. Either team can win. It's not set in stone, especially considering the Stealers are far from an unbeatable team.
