Spoiler
If I had to put the blame on anybody this game....I put it on Jonathan Joseph, and the O-Line. They played in straight up toilet mode. Jonathan Joseph has to be the most overrated corner ever. His ego is way too big for how much he sucks...Fitz did what he needed to do tonight, especially with opportunities he was given, but that fumble crapped it all away
I agree. No one player was to blame. I just heard that same logic defend and extend David Carr. I don't want to see that again. Other positions need to be upgraded...but our QB is flat out bad. That position desperately needs an upgrade.
Also, putting Mallett in at the 2nd quarter would've been a complete blowout. Fitz gives us the best chance to win and we don't have any better option unfortunately. If you look at his stats, he had a good stat line. On the plays when he had decent protection, he made some great throws. Good back shoulder throws to Andre and a nice deep ball to Damaris Johnson. He has the ability to make those throws with good protection. Unfortunately, our O-line just sucks. But yes, that fumble was on him. He should've secured the ball better. He had 5 seconds to allow the play to develop. That's the protection you expect from your line and they held up on that play. Fitz didn't secure the ball on his roll out. But that fumble didn't make us lose.
After 12 seasons of horrible QB's is it too much to ask the franchise to focus on this somewhat important position? I'm just sayin...
J.J. is a boss and he showed the world tonight that he's not getting paid enough. Too bad the Texans will have to make the playoffs for him to win MVP. After the energy the defense spent shutting down the Dallas offense on a quick turnaround game _ great job on not folding after the 1st quarter onslaught by Luck and Hilton. Foster keeps proven that y'all need to backup off him about his interviews... Let that man say what he wants. Fitzpatrick sucks and his beard is ridiculous. He had a chance to be a hero tonight but he did what he usually does... Too bad moral victories don't count.
It's going to get worse. At some point this season, he will completely fall off a cliff and be even more pathetic than he is now.

Yep our O Line is terrible and Indy's, starting 2 backups today, was fantastic. It's amazing how a QB of Luck's caliber can make an O Line put together with band aids and Elmer's glue look halfway decent. So sick and tired of having another QB that we have to constantly make excuses for.
