I haven't seen that reported by anyone reputable yet, either Braddock got a huge scoop or he's just misinformed.
Agreed, I was worried till I saw that no one else was going with the story, as long as it's just Braddock rolling with it, I have a hard time taking it as fact.
Well he was at TC so he was reporting on what he saw which is one thing, but he's not such an insider that I think he's going to scoop the world about one of the players being out for the game significantly before the rest of the world hears about it. His strength, as it is, lies in player evaluation and draft analysis. If this was a 100% thing, I'd think that more people would have reported it, especially given that the Texans and Colts is the only game on today and Brooks being out would SIGNIFICANTLY affect fantasy football numbers and betting lines. National guys would be all over that if legit info dropped.

Disagree, Braddock has some on point sources within the organization. Whether it be the players themselves or a member of the coaching staff, Braddock is usually spot on when it comes to personnel decisions and stuff.
Just about everyone in the NFL has those qualities to a certain extent dude... It's how those qualities translate to the NFL field is what separates the players. J.J. is a different kind of animal. The type of guy who's compared to great players like Reggie White. J.J. is actually a once in a lifetime (or generation) "player" and you're comparing a once in a generation "prospect" to him... And so far the main quality that Clowney hasn't had is availability and without that quality _ all those other qualities don't mean shyt. Hopefully he will develop that quality and live up to the "Clowney can walk on water" hype... Been chillin in Europe and Jamaica if you must know. Didn't have time for you guys. My apologies buddy

I honestly feel that Clowney can become a better pass rusher than Watt. He is the best pass rush prospect they have seen in a long time. Watt is the man no doubt, but lets be happy we have both.
Fair enough, we'll see, so far it's been 52 minutes since he tweeted out that Brooks was for sure out and no one in the world has picked up the story. He'll get major props if his "source" pans out and he'll get heckled with Chris Broussard meme's if not.
Clowney will put up better sack numbers because he'll continually get 1 on 1 matchups, whereas Watt will pretty much be doubled at all times. I can't wait for 90 to come back, I think our defense will explode with the additional pass rush.
no one outside of the H know who Brandon Brooks is... anywho, really blows he's sick. colts dline is laughable so it shouldnt have a huge impact.
Yeah, I would be worried if they had a really good interior lineman but they don't (Cory Redding is probably their best). If anything this could be an improvement in the run game, Brooks has been pretty disappointing in that regard so far this season. I expected him to be a mauler for how big and mobile he is and so far this year he has struggled.
No one else even inside of Houston is reporting it though. It would be huge news if a starting interior lineman was sick and unexpectedly out of the game. Don't you think someone else would have picked up on it in the last hour? Like maybe other Houston sports people who follow him on Twitter?
Considering how uptight and in house O'Brien keeps things around the organization, I am not surprised at all that Braddock is the only one to be reporting this.
I can't debate with how you "feel" buddy... So no comment about that. And Clowney has to get on the field _ stay on the field _ and prove it... Right now you're still riding on a great sophomore year he had playing on a loaded defense 2 years ago and a fast 40 time at the combine. I'm in wait and see mode, but I hope you're right...
Braddock is still all over the Brooks news... guess we will have to wait another 30 minutes for the inactives for confirmation.

Texans RG Brandon Brooks will miss tonights game w/ an illness.
