They can thank Rick Adelman! :p

Budinger's isn't terrible (but the whole playing 64 games over the last two seasons thing might be a problem)

Martin apparently has this toxic contract that no one wanted this summer LOL. Is is really that bad? Maybe a year longer than wanted but...

I'd consider him but I'm not sure Martin would want to come back (or enjoyed his ending here).

See THAT's the thing. $7 mill a year for a player that can draw fouls, shoot ridiculously well at the FT line, AND make 3s? Sure he's been injured, he doesn't play defense aside from the 1-2 steals a night, but what's NOT to like?

Jodi Meeks is making $6 mill a year in comparison and I'd venture that the majority on here would rather have Martin.

THAT being said, there's no way we use our TPE on Martin and our assets on Rubio and not get anything else back in return. You just utilize most if not all of your assets on a 6th man, at best, and a point guard that may or may not be your long term answer.

He played well, but in the context of what Codman was saying, it sounds more like being washed up after having a good career, as in declining towards the end. Shaun declined right off the bat and didn't really make a mark until last season. It sounds more like Landry's situation.

Codman is more likely referring to Chuck Hayes than Chase Bud.

It's pretty terrible unless he can get back to the level he was at his last year in Houston. But the odds don't look great on that.

I'd go with Hayes or Landry...but Landry left before Hayes, so the mike james-rafer timeline reference would point to Landry, unless I misunderstood that part of his comment.

Why is no one considering Dragic? He played for Houston and there is a glut at the PG position for PHX. I guess he's not washed up though...

    Oh come on, pretty terrible?!

Rockets are paying Terry $5 mil this year and no telling what they'll get out of him. Granted, yes he is expiring but Budinger's isn't too terrible, as if it'll hamstring them.

Because Codman only brought up the PF spot and bench shooting.

Nets played lots better with him on the court. He helped salvage their season, for goodness sakes!

What if by the gold comment he meant someone on the winning gold medal team this summer?

    E-Bled looking like an All-star

Just got back from a Suns vs Brazil game. E-Bled looked like an All-Star in limited minutes. I know it was a preseason game, but he looked really, really good.

no way is DM gonna take a contract that runs beyond this year (KMart) unless its a 3rd star...
imo, he wants someone who is on an expiring deal (Rubio, Milsap, etc..) so he can sign one last piece in the offseason (whichever of pf or pg he doesn't acquire via trade b4 deadline) then he will use bird rights to retain the player who is expiring... even if it means overpaying... That was the plan with signing Bosh and then overpaying Chandler (but of course Bosh fell through... so maintain flexibility rather than maxing our caproom and still being a position short...)
Soooooo... it's gotta be an expiring contract...or at least a contract he feels he could shuffle away to Phillie or wherever with no prob....

Dragic strikes out on all three...

    1. complaining about minutes/touches
    2. washed up
    3. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/rRwhm-B6yNI?rel=0&amp;controls=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>, too old.
