Episode 1 premiered last night to impressive initial numbers, outdrawing Agents of Shield despite the pilot having leaked earlier this year. I liked it. Not everything about it, but it has potential and I like Arrow enough to see if they can realize that potential. Will check it out was never a big fan of the character. . . liked the old tv version so I suspect this one will be kool Rocket River
There is some tie in, but no, it's a stand alone origin story that's just enhanced some if you watched Arrow. Barry made 2 guest appearances in season 2 of Arrow before he became the Flash and helped Oliver with a case and made him a new mask. He also had a romantic tie in with one of the cast from Arrow. That being said I really like Arrow. It's kind of a mix of Batman and Lost. Yes The acting can be poor at times, but it turns into a pretty great comic book adaptation by the end of season 1.
Loving it so far, been looking forward to this since watching Arrow and so far it hasn't disappointed me.
For a pilot, that was really good! Dug the much lighter tone and characters. Felt almost like a 60 min movie, which I think is what made it feel so rushed. But overall, not bad. I kinda wish DC would just stick to the small screen. As excited as I am for BvS, I think if they give the keys to the creators of Flash and Arrow, they'd create an awesome TV universe. Better than Zack Snyder at least lol. And besides, 20 hours a season of dc awesomeness is always better than only 2 hours every two years
I just could not get into it....It felt pretty cheesy. I wanted to like it! I thought it felt like it was geared towards teenagers but it probably is....I remember I used to love the old show growing up. The scientist kids were pretty terrible....mainly the boy....his acting was pretty bad. Spoiler I could not stop laughing at the Arrow's pose when they meet up. Looked so unnatural.
It would definitely help... Those cross-overs and mentions are going to get annoying. Plus, you're missing out; Arrow is a pretty solid show.
I'd say no, but I know episode 8 of each show will be two hours long and feature heavy crossovers. Felicity from Arrow will also show up in a few episodes this season of Flash. Arrow keeps getting better and better, and if you're a DC fan, I'd recommend both. The two shows are quite different with Arrow being darker and more brooding like Oliver Queen, and Flash being a lot more fun and tongue in cheek like Barry Allen.
I thought it was an enjoyable premiere. Does seem more light hearted than Arrow. I like how the universes are inclusive. Kinda curious on the end there with who Harrison Wells is.
I liked. Good cast. Good Villain. And I could see this cast going to the big screen successfully. Not sure where I know the team girl from, but seen her before somewhere. Anyway, good show. Will watch. Think this will be a big hit for them.
If you're watching Flash you might as well watch, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and SuperGirl (all on Netflix). Those cross-overs/mini cross-overs/mentions aren't going to make a lick of sense if you choose to skip them. Minimal damage to your enjoyment if you do choose to just watch Flash. Later seasons might require you know what happened in the other CW shows. Good luck! I envy and pity you all at once.
While this is true. Those shows are not nearly as good as the flash. Except for the first 2 years of arrow. Those seasons are good. (I think it is two years I am not sure). Just getting to know who the characters are on those shows I probably enough to understand the crossovers
