Zero hedge is a freak show convention. I think the dude who runs it knows that, but I doubt most of their audience knows it. It's fox news people on roids, with a bunch of taken out of context economic indicators thrown in for good measure. I used to like your posts. You seemed like a wise, cooky sage. I don't like this one. Stop it.
@Longhorn Fan Just when my school was gonna make it harder for kids to get in, this happens. I did chuckled a bit when I saw that lol. So glad I graduated in May and got the hell out of Dallas. Not a place to be right now.
Ebola may be new, but there is a long public health history with Cholera, Typhoid fever, and similar diseases, so that they are really good about separating waste water until it gets to the water treatment plants where they nuke it with chemicals and UV light in addition to the other stuff they do.
I do cook with sage at times. I actually think my post fit in nicely with the idea of "kooky" but it's in the eye of the beholder.
Thanks Ottomaton. Simple bleach would be enough, apparently, following the attached link from a reporter in Canada. There are studies showing it can live on its own for *days* but those were under very specific, ideal (for the virus) circumstances. http://www.ctvnews.ca/health/ebola-how-long-can-it-live-on-a-surface-what-if-it-mutates-1.2041584
Not sure what you mean or if you have a link. They've admitted the guy to Presb. hospital in "an abundance of caution," but he's not exhibiting symptoms of the virus at this point. http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Frisco-Investigating-Possible-Ebola-Case-278555081.html Do you have an update?
While it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility he could've contracted ebola, we should wait until it is officially announced before jumping to any conclusions.
my bad someone from dallas sent me a link of them saying confirmed. it was probably a jacked up source. I think whats more concerning is if he does contract the ebola because he did not come into contact with patient 0. so either he touched some infected source (ie the door handle) or the virus is aerosolized. the deputy walked into some particles floating in the air. the latter part being concerning.
It's not confirmed. He was taken as precautionary measure because he was a deputy who had entered the residence of the guy who died from ebola today. He apparently wasn't wearing any protective gear at the time. They're decontaminating the clinic he went to complaining of stomach pain or something... awesome ... that's like 5 minutes from me. lol.
It does feel like we are a stone toss away from this virus spreading like crazy. It could go badly very quickly. Dustin Hoffman and Rene Russo...do your f-king jobs! I don't want to be firebombed. Break out the human size condoms to wear. I don't think the new hand sanitizer stations at work are enough.
hahaja if you got to play the mavs you got to play a virtual game on nba2k with Howard controlling the rockets against whoever they got
