Same can be said to Dmo, his defense still bad.

Coaches asking Daniels to develop PG skills. That may mean we're not keen on either Ish or Canaan.

Coaches will be experimenting a lot this preseason and up to December. McHale even said they're asking Papa to handle the ball and create. Players are encouraged to expand their game. Interesting year ...

considering he only had 3 fouls last night, I see that as an improvement. he wasn't really challenged on the defensive side last night.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets traded for a back up point guard this season.

They have to obtain a decent PG. I wouldn't be surprised if Jones will be traded, if he doesn't improve by much.

If he doesn't improve much, why would anyone pay anything to get him? The Celtics had tons of PF whose not improving also and they probably will be willing to give them away for free.

If he at least will maintain the same level of last year, why the hell will you trade him? how can you get someone FOR FREE with his same output and paying less than 2 mils for next 2 years?

Im very impressed by Papa play. With Ariza and Papa at SF i expect 48mins of solid play on defense and offense.

Fair comments. If he maintains the same level of play as last year, he will have some trade value. A case for him to be retained is valid, but DM might be able to get a backup PG for 2 years, instead of him. D-Mo will have to get considerably better, before DM chooses to trade Jones I suspect.

true, it seems that everyone watching the Rockets agrees that DMO is best in the paint with his back to the basket…yet the Rockets continuously have him parked on the 3 point line watching Dwight, who doesn't have the post-moves DMO has.

Hopefully THIS is the year they change up the strategy some??

Mr. McHale, your post up guy is DMO. USE HIM.

Glad the NBA season has returned. It makes all of us a bit more energetic and hopeful during the fall. I love the chatter on the bbs. Rockets fans are the best in the world, even better now, due to some minor changes. :p:grin:

I was impressed with Ariza, and as much as I enjoyed having Chandler as a Rocket, I think Trevor is content as a role player. He's our Ron-Ron lite.

However, the play at the 4 is still such a glaring issue. The bench? Interesting. Where's Jon Barry, Brent Barry and a Carlos Delfino to light it up from the three?

We're not set, yet. There's always something going on in the office. Shoot, I guess there's still hope for a prayer.

Consider channeling your inner Rafer-Mike James memory and time frame. Lay off on Bev though, apparently.

It appears that some homecomings are being explored and some opportunities for gold are available. When there's a glut, there's a way. Guys want to create a racket when minutes or touches are sparse. It's that and the debatable question of how washed up is too washed up? Maybe Aaliyah was right....

    Just sayin'....

    Love ya'll,

He was like that beginning of last year too. And we were still winning.

Suns have a glut, the sun is gold and getting GD back would be a homecoming.

    One thing about Papanikolaou...

Although he had a pretty decent first game, one thing I noticed is that he looked pretty slow out there.

When he was dribbling and making moves to the basket, it was like he was moving in quicksand.

The good thing is, that isn't really going to be his game, so he may be able to get away with being a little slow. But him being slow was just something that was glaringly obvious to me.

The announcers mentioned (may have been Bill) that our trainers are going to get him into NBA shape by next season because he's in Euro shape right now.
