Lin and Davis have been fantastic together. Dude still needs to work on his handles though, and for god's sake stop getting suck under the basket.
LOL that fall, shades of the Portland series right there. It looks like Lin just doesn't have that aggressive drive any more, even when there is an opening to the rim he seems to hesitate. Kobe looks pretty darn good.
Okay that was damn hilarious, Lin had a Portland-esq near-turnover at the end of the game. In his defense, he slipped on the court but still, his life must have flashed before his eyes. Overall, solid game. With the way Kobe is demanding the ball, I highly doubt Lin will get to start.
Yeah, looked like it. Don't get me wrong, I am a Lin fan, but you have to chuckle in a moment like that.
This thread is going to be so much fun. This and Chandler Parsons Mavs thread is a must watch this year.
That was funny that fall could've been wet spot but still "classic Lin" almost went to OT Solid game with 10 assist & 1 TO, without really handling the rock that much
I'll admit. I watched the game. Curious to see how he would do. His handles are still too weak. He looked gassed and like he had no legs the second he stepped on the court. I heard Lakers are running to death in training camp. But thats no excuse since forty year old Nash, Kobe, n the rest of the team looked fine. He just randomly ran at the basketball and tried to lay it up even when there were three guys standing there. Terrible. And his shot was completely broken. And he just fell, with the game on the line. He then scrambled and made a decent pass to save the game. Honestly... I think the rockets are kind of vindicated. Lin looked EXACTLY like Lin. Broken shot. Driving into defenders. Randomly falling down. Turnover producing lazy passes. Nothing to do with the team or system. Thats just how Lin plays. Time to admit it. After saying all that... Lin also looked exactly like Lin as far as pick and roll. He and Ed Davis were an awesome Machine of absolute destruction. He was racking up assists n Ed Davis looked like the best player in the building, which tends to happen to big men when they play with Lin. Which is why I just couldnt understand why Dwight Howard would never lower himself to pick n roll with Lin. Defensively he looks like he is playing to his full potential. Can't knock him on that. He's not athletic enough to play any better. Seriously, I don't know why Lin was so bad at driving tonight. Maybe he just didn't want to risk injury because it is preseason. But we all know he can drive the all. So if they let him play pick n roll with Ed Davis and Lin are going to have a great year stats wise. I think he will be better off on the second unit. Kobe is going to dominate the first unit. N Ed Davis fits with Lin a lot better.
Well I watched the Lakers training camp vid in this thread before the game, and Nash sat out last practice. That training camp looks pretty intense. I honestly thought Nash looked pretty old out there. He still has the skills and technique as good as ever, but his overall speed is a shell of his former self. I thought Lin did fine in this game. Could have done better on offense and defense. And could have scored more, but I thought he was consciously trying to play true point guard today.
6'5 athletic combo guard who was suppose to be a lottery pick until he went in an awful shooting slump.
Still the same ol' Lin, driving into the lane with no where to go. But at least the Lakers do run some decent plays for him to rack up some assists.
