I'm sort of hoping that Clowney is fully recovered and at the last second they announce he'll play this game, having a second dominant pass rusher would be huge in this game.

I know it won't happen, but it would be pretty sweet.

Hoping the O line has a clean game with as few as penalties possible. That killed a lot of our drives yesterday.

We can get back on track Thursday.

And Fitz you need to throw it down field every one in awhile bro. Starting to feel like Schaub is still back there sometimes with all the throws in front of the sticks

Then he will get hurt again walking on the field

Always a possibility at Reliant, you can hold out hope for that happening if you like.

Kinda hoping for a blowout loss where Fitzy throws 3 ints. Would give Mallett a week and a half to prepare for the Steelers just in time for Clowney to come back and we'd be 3-3.

Kinda confused on what the Texans want out of this season. Ain't winning the Super Bowl with Fitz so...just wasting Mallett evaluation time and screwing up draft positioning in case we do need a QB.

And then what once Mallett shows to still be a bad QB? Then will you be hoping for more blowout losses so you can see Savage?

I think they are setting the table for whatever QB we draft next year. Kind of like what the Seahawks did for Wilson.

We don't need a top 10 pick to get a franchise QB. I really don't get this "either win the SB or tank" line of thinking.

I also don't think Mallett fits into the equation at all. Only reason he gets playing time this year is if Fitz gets hurt or the season is lost. He's basically this year's version of Keenum.

I'm for this if it will insure that Obrien will stop wasting time with Fitz. Its time to see what we have in Mallet or Savage to see if we need to draft a QB next year, trade for one or get one in free agency some how.

Just because I dont agree with a draft pick does not mean I would wish injury on a player.

I'm not so sure about that, everything you've said pretty much suggests that you hope he gets injured again just so you can say that you were right. We both know, that's about the only way you'll end up right.

    This.

Our franchise QB is not on the roster. Mallett is here because Keenum and Savage weren't ready/able to be a backup in this system.

And you don't tank and stop building a TEAM, and all that comes with it, just because you don't have a QB. Other players are important too and you don't sacrifice their progression just to be in a better position to get one guy.

I think it's a bit premature to give up on Savage, but for sure Mallett isn't the guy, he's just here in case of injury so we won't have to throw Savage out there unprepared.

    33-17 Colts...
    Trends to follow:
    1. Offense cant score
    2. Thursday night blowout game
    3. Houston disappoints with primetime appearance.
    4. Defense cant slow anyone down.

This is really not a good time to decide the division leaders...Colts are the better team with healthier parts...bad combination.

Im a Texans fan so why would I wish for him to be hurt? In the end I will be right but I hope Clowney can get out there next monday night vs Steelers.

A very good question. Anyway, it doesn't matter, I'm sure you'll come around eventually. I'm used to being a bit ahead of the curve and often get into it with people about things they eventually figure out down the line. It was the case with Tebow, it was the case with VY, it was the case with Mark Sanchez, it was the case with Joe Flacco, it was the case with who the Texans were going to pick at #1 last year. I'll just have to be more patient.

Well, it could happen, but the Texans will need their DB depth back healthy. The Colts don't have anything by way of a run game, so they really can put everything into shutting down the pass....the question is if they are capable of doing so. Pressure on Luck without having to send a blitz will be kay.....we REALLY could use Clowney for this one.
