I think you should be ok. Helu isn't much of a threat unless he gets a red zone touch which doesn't happen too often. Usually Morris gets those carries.
Guy in my league is down on Calvin Johnson. I'm thinking long-term/playoffs. Would Vincent Jackson and Andre Ellington be too much to give up for him? I'd get him to throw in another smaller piece under this scenario (he's down on Hopkins as well for some reason).
I don't know.. You're trading 2 starters for 1. Ellington is a good RB and Jackson is coming on with his favorite QB back in the lineup. It's a hard decision though. What's the rest of your lineup look like? I own Megatron my league and I want to trade him too. If I lose this week I'll be 2-3 (my matchup's kicker had 21 points compared to Megatron and Graham combining for 6 lol) so I'll need to be in win now mode and can't afford having Megatron sitting out 2 weeks with his injury. I'm still scared. Helu has been doing good in the passing game. Helu and Wagner combing for 19 isn't that out there. Wagner is averaging about 11 per game in our league.
Starters (2 QB League): QB: P. Manning, Big Ben RB: Lacy, Murray WR: A. Brown, Keenan Allen TE: Graham K and DEF by committee Bench: RB: Ellington, Doug Martin, Ingram, Terrence West WR: V. Jackson, AJ80 TE: Donnell Ryan Matthews is on waivers so could pick him up and hope Lacy and Murray stay healthy (and productive) until he's healthy. Golden Tate and Terrence Williams are also available (at the moment) on the WR side. I just picture a healthy Megatron and Graham in my starting line-up come playoff time and start salivating...
I need to drop Adrian Peterson, but there just isn't many FA RBs out there. Considering picking up Antone Smith, McFadden, or possibly Ryan Matthews to stash for a couple weeks until he's healthy again. Anybody have any advice here or maybe any other kind of unknown RBs to take a look at?
LOL. I hear you. I have Megatron and Graham on my team too. Too bad it hasn't translated into anything. I'd do the trade then. Beef up your starting team since you'll just have redundant players on your bench. Honestly a tough choice though
WOW up by 40 and I end up losing because of the Patriots kicker, Roy freakin' Helu and an IDP. Wagner had no sacks or pass deflects before today where he combined for 3. Of course my opponents back up RBs do better than most of my team.. Roy Helu and TRich aren't even starters and got him more points than Calvin Johnson and Jimmy Graham got me.. sigh
I'm struggling with this one as well, but as of RIGHT NOW, I'm leaning Ronnie Hillman. Montee Ball is out for "awhile" and he wasn't doing great, but in the case of Oliver, Ryan Mathews will be back "soon" and Oliver will be relegated to back-up status.
Here is how I look at it. Denver might split the ball with 2-3 guys until Ball comes back in 2-3 weeks. Hillman has a very slim shot of winning that job, and a small chance at winning 5-8 carries from Ball when Ball returns. Olivier might be good enough to supplant Mathews and/or also acquire Woodhead's snaps. I'd go Olivier in PPR for certain. In standard I'd roll with Olivier as well. Why not?
who would you guys rank higher ROS: Jeremy Hill or Ryan Mathews (assuming he comes back in 2 weeks) thanks!
Anyone Montee Ball owners thinking about dropping him? Sure the holes haven't been there, but Ball hasn't shown anything to disprove he's just a guy in a good offense. And it looks like Peyton will be throwing more anyways. It's late to drop him for the hot names, but I'm tempted by CJ Anderson. Hillman's lost his #1 contender status twice already, though both times were to Moreno. But throughout this season so far, I've thought Anderson had been running harder than Ball in his limited carries.
I looked this thread up to ask this question lol. I was thinking about dropping him to P/U Dwayne Allen and play him over Greg Olsen this week.
