I like Canaan ok, I really think Nick Johnson has more potential as a PG, however... Canaan seemed to have gained more confidence after a year in the D-League and with how he played in the Summer League. I realize neither of those are the NBA, and I don't really see Canaan and Bledsoe as similar players. Yet if you look at Canaan's first year and Bledsoe's first two seasons in the league statistically there's not much difference. Sure Bledsoe gained a lot more playing time in year one, so he probably developed faster, but then looking at year two his minutes/stats are similar to Canaan. Not sure if those came after his knee injury, so obviously that's a factor. Encouraging that we have moved from just accepting we would make some miracle transition to Jason Terry and Canaan. Really showing some maturity as a board.
Getting a Rondo would be a miracle, would it? Not so much "maturity" (ah, to be patronized) as much as the ability to read a calendar. We'll be back in force as December 15th approaches.
Disagree. The narrative around December 15th will switch to the fact that teams are more willing to move in February. In February the narrative when we trade for Josh Hamilton will be we are waiting for the offseason. This team is going to be solid so I don't worry about it much but I don't think that Howard stays past 3 years unless we have gotten to the conference finals by that point. If we roll into next offseason and get Boshed again then we are lame ducked. Problem is that Morey only wants to rape. GMs are well aware we are one player away and that theatre loving b*stard surely won't overpay.
Comparing Bledsoe is laughable. Never mind the production or even the athleticism, Bledsoe is an elite defender and Canaan can only dream of wanting to be as good.
excited about the rockets. and don't tell me to shut up. it's a free forum to express ideas. Did you tell those LOF or LOH to shut up? why don't you shut you twit.
Clutch - Please do us all a huge favor an lock this thread until we have relevant news relating to the Rockets. It's time. DW
Where's that dude who waited like 12 years after his first post, and his second post was one word ("penis")? No punctuation, no nothing else, just "penis" and then gone. He needs to post in this thread.
