Oh it's relevant. Dallas wasn't lucky to get this win. Turnovers are THE BIGGEST single factor in wins and losses. It's not rushing, passing, sacks, none of that. Of course you'll claim the question isn't relevant when it defeats agenda.
Oh it's relevant all right. Dallas wasn't lucky to get this win. Turnovers are THE BIGGEST single factor in wins and losses. It's not rushing, passing, sacks, none of that. Of course you'll claim the question isn't relevant when it defeats agenda.
Your statements don't follow logically, you claim that Dallas wasn't lucky, then say that turnover are the single biggest factor in wins and losses.....Dallas lost the turnover battle, yet won the game. Wouldn't that mean they were lucky?
.....yes and the Cowboys were fortunate that happened right? Good fortune can be called "luck".....see what I mean?
Everything is all good if we win Thursday. I think we can beat Pitt the week after with the long rest
I feel okay about the loss. BoB will learn. At second and 4, that should have been treated like 4 down territory. The Dallas D was done. Excited about Clowney's return. Hoping it's in a few days!
Especially given that Clowney should be back by then. A good game against the Colts would do this team well.
I thought we played decent, pretty much what I was/am expecting from this group. Our D is going to keep us in a lot of games but if our offense can't capitalize on turnovers than we are going to have a hard time pulling out Ws. Overall it's a hard loss but nothing we can't recover from, we must bounce back fast... Thursdays game is a big one, probably bigger than this one even though todays game felt crucial.
Yeah the cowboys got lucky with this one but no matter who our coach is we still dink and dunk the ball. We never through the deep ball until the end when we needed to get down the field and hopkins made that play on the ball. He wasn't open but came back to it and made a play. I was at the game and i do see johnson slowing down put fitz isn't looking his way either or even giving him a change to make something happen like he is doing for hopkins. Honestly we need a OC. No more head coaching calling the plays for the offense.
Not gonna lie, but if Clowney can convince the coaches this week, he could make a surprise appearance against Luck...God knows that JJ Watt's actually hurting and desperately looking for help with pass rush.
Many are blaming play calling and some are blaming Fitzy, but something else killed us maybe even more. On our final drive Foster took himself out of the game on our final series after a 6 yard run on first down in overtime. He was gashing the Cowgirls in overtime and on second down we handed off to Blue who gained 2. What would the outcome have been if he played that down. Small thing, but the way the overtime was going it probably was huge. Just food for thought.
Coaches have already ruled him out a full week before his final week of "recovery"... so regardless of how he "feels" this week, they're not playing him. At the very least, they'd be overjoyed if he's at full strength NOW... because it gives him an additional 2 full weeks to get some strength/stamina back that was predictably lost over the last month. There's also no sense in trotting him out at 90 or 95% if there's even the slightest risk of him having a set-back because of it. They will still be getting him for the majority of the season if he sticks with the conservative time-table.
He was winded after the initial 24 yard run... probably would have come out after that, but they went hurry-up and he got the additional 6 yards after that. Very little chance he would have been in on the following play. I would have rather had him rest on the subsequent first down, and go for a quick out to AJ80 (that had burned them in the 4th quarter TD drive).... and then bring in Foster for the rest of the drive.
There was nothing wrong with the way they were running on that sequence of plays... I like your thought, but i don't trust Fritz passing or decision making.. The problem is not running to the left on 3rd and, that was the reason they lost.. But it was one huge factor. T_Man
Already said DAL had some lucky plays. But that "luck" can't be blamed for a loss when you're +2 in turnovers.. plus the Texans were fortunate on some other plays as well (dropped TD and getting the ball first in OT). We played better than I thought and a win Thursday would somewhat offset this loss. Stay tuned.
I'm not "blaming" the loss on anything, just pointing out that the Cowboys got really lucky on at least 1 TD and the play to set up the FG to win. If the Texans had played better, none of that would have mattered. A win on Thursday makes this loss completely and totally irrelevant.
some dude keeps trolling my rep talking all this mess about Foster... does anybody really think this loss is on Arian? He is our offense!
Man I hate we lost to these darn Cowboys. Now I have hear this nonsense about the Texans being the Cowboys little brother. Sickening I tell you. We should have won
Heh, I get some pretty hilariously stupid anonymous rep on occasion too, just laugh at them that they didn't have the courage to post it in the thread.
