That's just what happens when you're in rhythm and your confidence is almost at an all-time high. Impressive nonetheless. Hope he can bring that into a actual game if he gets playing time.

    lol

If you rely on the potentialof youth then we are going to lose games. Potential doesn't do squat except give hope in the future. Now we have a proven player over time we can use. Also that vet can mentor.

    this helps a lot
for a team thats supposed to just shoot threes and layups, we actually did not shoot well from 3

    1) Jason Terry is a true professional and I hope he retires a Rocket.

    2) We talkin' about practice. Not a game, no not a game. We talkin' about practice.

Throwing up a little in my mouth as I type this, but if Jason Terry had joined the Rockets instead of the Mavs all those years ago when Atlanta traded him, he would be a beloved figure around these parts with all the open/clutch shots he would've hit playing off of Yao and T-Mac. Was the perfect non-ball handling point guard to pair with a dominant two guard.

I hope he's got at least one more run in him, would be great to have him keep defenses honest from collapsing around Harden and Howard.

Hope he has at least one game where he destroys a team with a bunch of stupid jumpshots. Preferably against the Mavs.

    Oh dammit...

Now I'm starting to talk myself into Jet Terry being productive this year. I do this every time...

Not expecting anything from him this year until I actually see it on the court (preseason doesn't count, we all saw Omri Casspi play well in preseason last year, lol).

This remembers me of pre-season last year with Garcia and Cassipi. And we know how they turned out in the real games.

This reminds me of the story about Bostjan Nachbar hitting 23 of 25 3's or something in front of Rockets' scouts and they were sold he was their guy.
Or about Dwight hitting all his free throws in practice...

LOL. So many negatives. When Terry creams Dallas in November you'll be singing his praises. (As Parsons switches late again ! )

    Go Rockets !

Terry has shot >37% from 3pt range in each of the last three seasons. There's no evidence that suggests his long-range shooting ability has in any way atrophied.

shooters don't become worse shooters. they get tired legs, they can't play defense or dribble past anyone. he'll be fine as a spot up shooter. i don't expect much more.

he'll probably get all the minutes he can handle.

I'm really starting to warm up to Jason Terry. He is saying the right things and seems to be all for this team.

He reminds me of when we acquired Bobby Jackson in 2008. If I'm not mistaken, Jackson was also somewhat of Rockets Killer in his prime and when the trade was made, people were questioning his age and ability too. But I really enjoyed Bobby's time here and he hit some big shots for us especially in that 22 game winning streak.

Or when we acquired Camby in 2012. Again, a lot of people was saying he was old and washed up but he played a huge part on that 2012 team, even took Dalembert's starting job.

As long as Terry is here and doing the right things, I will embrace him. Obviously, shooting and championship leadership is something we desperately need and he provides both in spades.

That was incredibly impressive - but I wonder what it would look like to see Daniels, Covington or Canaan doing those unguarded in a practice setting.
