I don't doubt Terry the talent, just his health, his age, and the fact that he's Jason Terry. If he can contribute to Rockets winning, I will root for his ability to contribute to Rockets winning.
Deke played 219 out of a possible 246 games his first 3 years here. He was 38-40 years old. He was 41 when he dropped out of the rotation under Adelman. When Deke was 37, he started and played 23 minutes a game in New York. If Jason Terry plays like Deke, we're looking at 4 years of solid production. It'd be a miracle if that happened.
Terry seems like a cool guy. This has potential to be the underrated signing for this off-season for sure. He could be what Mo was to the blazers and provide that veteran leadership and produce under pressure where the younger players usually come up short. Let's just hope we get the JT that we all hated.
terry hasn't played in 1.5 years. if anything he's well rested..just has to get into game shape and used to doing the on court things. Im not sure what his injury was, but every player has an adjustment period. (like howard did the year in LA and last year)
37 years old coming off a knee injury that kept him out last year. don't expect much from him. its the locker room voice that could help if anything.
Veteran leadership - it's the catalyst for most championship teams. There's a new mentality going into this season that wasn't there before.
What the hell, I don't know why I'm starting to gain some respect for Terry. Man, I hate that dude for what he done for us. But man, his leadership will be big for us in the locker room and on the court.
A fly's farts are more substantial than McHale's interviews. Gossamer is titanium when compared to a McHale interview.
I really appreciate the posting of these videos. Thanks for that. That being said, when the person doing the camera work is focusing in so close you cannot even see the interviewee's whole head, that is distracting and even a bit annoying. Just saying.
I'm guessing that's due to lack of room. They have to pack in around guys while others are still practicing. And if he's using a phone, his hand must be tired, so that may be the most comfortable angle for him.
Or its just another case of Ed Reed, talkin the talk but too old and beat up to even crawl the walk. Just cashin dem checks. Camby tried to do it to us, which is why I suspect we are more suspicious about it than before. As a general Houston fan that has seen this happen many times before, color me not impressed with Terry.
Apples to Oranges. Ed Reed was signed to fill a void because the texans didn't want to pony up and pay their free agent safety. Jason Terry will not be counted on to play big minutes nor produce at a high level.
