I dont' really see the point of using the most advanced and expensive air superiority fighters against an enemy that doesn't have an air force and very limited anti-aircraft and radar capabilities.
For years it has been slammed as never doing anything. Now that it is doing something it is being wasted. They will put hours on the airframes if they are dropping bombs or not.
True but a combat deployment is still going to cost more than training runs. Not to forget the cost of deploying them to theater. On the bright side at least they didn't use F-35's. Although I can already here the arguments in Congress sayign that we need F-35's to combat militants.
I don't care what planes they use, they should use all of them, to stop these barbarians from taking Kobane.
