http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/boxsco...easonId=2014&view=scoringperiod&version=quick Fitzpatrick's speech before the game to get the team hyped. Gave me chills man
Me too. Last night was one of the worst experiences I ever had at the game when we played them in 2010. Didnt help that my roommate was a Cowboys fan. He let me have it.
Ooops my bad. Wrong link http://www.houstontexans.com/tv-med...e-speech/5f49f918-83a2-491a-97b5-d0cf7b5550d2
Things change weekly in the NFL it was just 2 weeks ago they were garbage. They are looking pretty unstoppable right now though.
Cowboys beating the saints right now bodes well for us. They wont go into the game desperate and pissed next week when they play us like when they beat us in the last meeting.
We are not seeing the same Saints of yesteryear Houstunna. They have looked horrible since the season started. Rob Ryan's defense is hot garbage. Dude will get the ax
Friends and I were all saying that right now, while we watch the Dallas game. No chance unless the entire D shows up, Foster is 100% and Fitz has all day to throw.
One thing you can count on with da boys, they are consistently inconsistent, having said that they will come out and torch us then lose to a worse team.
the problem is this - dallAs can generate more points than Houston if it comes down to a shoot out. I think houstons secondary is better than the saints though. will be a fun game to watch
The injury report next week will be interesting, it's probably too soon to expect Clowney back, but he was out running before the game today so there's a chance. Also, our new fat guy should help us a lot when it comes to stopping the run.
Bottom line is if the Texans' offense plays the Cows like they did the Bills, they will get their asses handed to them. You can't depend on a JJ Watt pick 6 to bail you out EVERY week. I really liked what I saw from them defensively today but let's be real here: they were facing an inept offense with a bad QB. Romo and the Cows won't play as ineptly as did the Bills. As I posted before, the key will be how much pressure the Texans can put on Romo. If you let him stay upright and untouched he will bury you. NO is not getting any pressure on Romo tonight and it has allowed them to follow their plan which is to keep their defense off the field by controlling the clock with long drives. Their whole gameplan is to get a lead and sit on it.
It really is pick your poison for the Texans. If they load up the box and play off in the secondary like they've done thus far, Romo and the WRs will just play pitch and catch all day. They've got to stop the run with just the front 7, and like you said, not give Romo too much time in the pocket. It could get ugly, but I'm hoping the coaches can put in a great gameplan this week and the guys go out there and make us proud. Would help if the offense returned to form somehow as well. Go Texans!
So many doubters. I remember a lot of people on here were calling the Cowboys trash. Lol now they are going to beat the crap out of us. This was a revenge game for the Cowboys. The Saints beat the mess out of the Cowboys last year. The Texans can beat the Cowboys in Jerry's World. Have faith Texans fans.
Didn't you hear? The sky is falling, the Texans are only 3-1 and we all know you need an elite QB like Drew Brees to win any games.
