There is a scenario no one has discussed. If Detroit loses and Kansas City wins, they play a playoff game 163. This is considered a regular season game. Do those stats count?
Detroit and KC have both clinched playoff spots. If they end up tied, this is the only scenario where they use head to head to determine who wins the division and who gets the wild card. They will not play a 163rd game. That being said, if teams do play a 163rd game, all the stats count.

Congratulations Mr. Altuve. Unbelievable season and way to win the batting title on your own terms. Couldn't be happier for the guy.
I was watching both games, and Tigers announcers said Astros had pulled Altuve after the double. I was so confused.

Martinez 0-3 Altuve 2-4 It's a wrap!! HOUSTON!!!!!!! First ever batting-title by an Astro, so great for the city!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad he didn't sit out and back into it. HOUSTON!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not to be Debbie Downer, but there could be that one game Detroit-KC playoff to determine the AL Central winner and Martinez could go 5-5 to beat him.
