Same could said about Cops and black people nowadays If a cop shot a dog like they did Michael Brown . . . .. there would be more of an uproar and speedier prosecution If Zimmerman had shot a dog . .. there would have been more effective prosecution Rocket River
Pity the poor cartels that rape, murder and behead people every day and get little attention from the media. If only they were wearing "Liberate Al Quds" t-shirts, we would see them every night on the news and youtube VICE videos shot in Nuevo Leon would be all the talk on reddit.
By the way this is true. blaming others and looking the other way? Not taking a long hard look in the mirror? No self accountability.
Are you implying that if it's money driven, it's more accepted to rape, murder, torture and behead people?
Totally agree..the sad parts he sold a painting on eBay for 100k, and the poor black kid is forgotten.. Now some idiot all they can argue against it, is saying... Oh not true...but can't prove a thing to contradict it
That's a fine point to make. It doesn't have anything to do with the post you quoted though. Which was my point that you missed.
Great pts. I guess what we really need to see are the talks going on between muslims, perhaps a global Islam conference addressing the issue. Right now they seem happy to live in a bubble amidst a lot of denial. Can any muslims on this site weigh in on the lack of courage amongst moderate muslims to make a change for the better? Do you resent America for having a global presence and see them as doing a worse job than local govts could do?
I would consider your points as supporting evidence towards something greater, but not as a centerpiece for a case for action. As far as I've read, the US hasn't encountered a domestic "sleeper cell" with coordinated and organizational capabilities. It's at most 3 or 4 people acting like lone wolves. The press does eventually report the Justice department's ****ups such as entrapping Muslims who had no business doing terrorist acts but were somehow painted into the role when given the means. It takes a cycle or four after the government does its victory lap, but followup is good. Or maybe the government hasn't divulged genuine domestic cells for fear of giving away information or other national security reasons. In any case, the lack of a public "unmasking" for a large coordinated group, on par with right wing supremacists or fringe militia organizations, is somewhat comforting in light of the "1-5 million likes" of people on facebook. Also keep in mind, despite the Okie wacko having that many domestic friends, there hasn't been news of them corresponding into something more deeply insidious. It's either the government is doing a decent enough job catching threats after being given the power to override our civil liberties or the people among the million(s) "likes" are mostly sympathetic extremist morons such as those found in rallies supporting violence against abortion doctors. Anyways, it's pretty damn disturbing. Hate speech shouldn't receive that many likes in any event. But to entirely lose sleep over the possibility that among those million people on FB are "sleepers" in America? It takes a lot to cross that line and then execute it. I'll concede there's some gambling and hedging there, but we're on a different level of ****ed if the government needs to control and take away even more civil liberties in order to make me feel safe and sleep okay. That's probably the last likely thing to get me in the big wheel o fortune of death.
Yes I did make that point in my prior posts. Please re-read (hint, look at the first bullet point under the letter A). Thank you and have a nice day.
Well this thread isn't about them is it. Its about this crazy guy. But if you want to talk about ISIS and the Taliban - let me ask you this - why didn't you see these kinds of groups in the 1960's? Where were all the beheading then? Isn't it strange that it's a more and more modern phenomenon? Where were all the fanatics in 1960?
That on in the LA area, where the guy was handcuffed and the cop shot the dog a few times. Dog was wounded and suffering actually and eventually died after another shot from the cop.
I am saddened that I had to look at three different media articles before I found one that mentioned anything about a civilian taking someone out with a gun. We wouldn't dare want that to get out there now would we? Libs want that to be hush hush.
several times over the last few years in austin, including a time when a cop came to the wrong house and shot the dog as it was playing with its owner in the backyard and another time when cops responded to a home invasion and shot the home owners dog. i remember another where a guy was at his storage unit with his dog and cops thought he was a burglar and they shot his dog. if googling was allowed i could give exact dates and links. and the uproar was nothing compared to brown and there was no prosecution in any cases.
