Asik was only good as a backup option if Howard was hurt. With him coming off of the bench in the games Howard was healthy, he rarely made an impact on the game, in fact, it could be argued that trying to play him in the first 1/3 of the season actually hurt our team's record...

This gives me a warm feeling inside. Even though they're not the same evil villains of yesteryear...they still have the same annoying fanbase and nothing delights me more non-Rockets-wise than seeing Utah mediocre-to-crappy.
Tru **** the jazz. **** karl malone. And **** stockton. And most of all, **** that lowlife piece of crap
The Rockets will easily be better than Toronto and Washington. Should be better than Memphis, Portland and Dallas. And I expect to be close to the same as GState. Dallas that high is pretty funny.
Better to have the Mavs' asses kissed by the media now and them blow it than have them underrated and spend all of April hearing what a great comeback story it is that they're back in the sixth seed. Also looking forward to another season of people calling the Warriors sleeper contenders before they flame out in the first round. I'm not sweating the Rockets' spot as a whole but some of the teams in the top ten are pretty funny. The Raptors didn't even win a playoff series in the East, come on.
This all has to do with last year's playoffs. That's the last thing people remember because people are stupid. Washington did well in the playoffs. So did Toronto. They exceeded expectations. So did the Mavs. The Rockets, however, under-achieved. But people forget that the Wizards and Toronto are in the East, and they're not nearly as good as people are projecting. And the Mavs simply played a good series against the Spurs. They still lost. So long story short, the Rockets are 12th because people are stupid. I'm glad they are being underrated, though. It will make it more fun when they are kicking ass during the season.
Rockets can get 50+ victories, but the weakened bench will force McHale to play his starters heavy minutes. And I would freaking love to see Ariza have a better year than One Direction.
Tell 'em. I get tired of my friends constantly saying Howard isn't the best center. He has room for improvement, but he's almost the best by default.
I am mystified by love for Mavs by commentators. They have 4 pretty good players in Nowitzki, Chandler, Parsons, and Ellis but that's about it. They lost 5 of their best 8 players. They have absolutely no depth.
The difference between Dwight and Marc is a hell of a lot closer than the difference between James and any other SG, there's a grand canyon between him and the rest at this point, that it's better off just comparing him to other guards (and including the point guards since there's probably about 7 or 8 of them between him and the next best SG).
