Giddy, this isn't a personal attack on you. I respect that you are trying to facilitate a healthy discussion... But that video really annoys me, as someone with a scientific background. Honestly I don't know what you expected here. You've been here long enough and read through enough threads dealing with Evolution that by now you should have at least a decent layman's understanding of what it is about so I don't know why you would expect a five minute long cartoon would somehow provide some solid refutation to it. For that matter posting a thread title in all caps seems nothing less than an attention whoring thread title. It seems to me you started this thread to troll and now that you are getting trollish replies you seem upset about it.
And note that we are looking at that molecules billions of years ago. So, there is a chance the descendants of that molecule now have warp speed and worm holes and passed by the light signal of their proto life and are looking at us from their moon station right now
No. This has nothing to do with Creation. This has to do with the LIES some moron has created in order to spread ignorance and you buying into it and posting here when 2 minutes of googling prior to that would have exposed that they were LIES. If you use LIES to build your case, you will not get respect. You should apologize for posting that video. And it brings ridicule upon you for which you deserve. If you respect your own views, you have the responsibilities to use the truth to back it up. There are two claims in that video that are LIES. They happen to be the only claims being made. Claim 1: That Evolution has failed because it can not explain creation. No, this is a lie because Evolution DOES NOT try to explain creation in the first place. It explains speciation, not creation. This has been stated to you before. And you refuse to listen. Claim 2: That there is no new genetic information added organically to species. ANOTHER LIE. Have you never heard of HIV???? If you want respect, start by respecting us before you post.

I can start wherever I wish. I've never heard of Lenski so how can I KNOW to read him/her/it? You guys miss a great opportunity to further your viewpoint. I didn't refute anything. I asked a question about a video which I thought made some valid but perhaps overstated points. I INVITED those in the know to provide feedback. That is all that has happened here except that some tried to play well and some didn't.
That's part of the problem. Things like the Lenski lab don't get any press and they should. It's a beautifully elegant experiment. And don't go play butt-hurt when you trot out the same tired old canards at every turn and then get all passive aggressive when called on it. The feedback you got was appropriate due to the fact that 30 seconds of googling and 5 minutes of reading would refute the video's "points" with ease, especially since the reading material that's been posted on this very forum dozens of times by those you disagree with also answers those points and countless others but you can't seem to be bothered to do more than watch 2 minute videos I guess.
