Some of you folks amaze me. Yeah, let's lock it up now that the Bledsoe domino has finally fallen. It's been, what, 12 hours..... Insane in the membrane!
lol I like Reggie Jackson if he is not over priced. He was never going anyway. Goran was paying a lot to help his brother buy out his Euro contract.
Are the Morris twins still in Phx? Maybe the Suns are just trying to be the family-oriented team. Good for them. Somethings gotta give, it would seem. They are pretty deep at the PG position. Maybe they really envision running a backcourt of Bledsoe/Dragic all the time.
Plow you said a while back that the Rockets had a back up plan to upgrade the PG and still get a PF... still standing by that?
Drew said: We are getting Goran Dragic. I don't believe it, though he seems extremely confident. I wonder if Plowman shares Drew's beliefs. Personally, I think the only feasible one is Rondo. But not sure he fits in the lockeroom with the Loony Tunes.
There have been zero, ZERO, indications that Phoenix wants to trade either Dragic or Bledsoe. Will they? Who knows, but there is no reason to believe Phoenix just willingly will give away one of it's 2 best players at this moment in time. They have a young Bledsoe locked up for 5 years, they just signed Dragic's brother, and by all accounts they want to bring Dragic back as well. This has all seemed like extremely wishful thinking the entire time, and it seems like that even more so now. All this random insider rumors stuff has people thinking every single NBA transaction has Rockets-related implications, when sometimes it just doesn't. Once again...I'll gladly eat crow if a trade ends up going down, but I see no reason to believe it will. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Dragic always seemed like a long shot at best anyway. Phoenix likes him, he likes Phoenix. As far as Drew, he was probably hearing rumors delivered in enthusi-speak. "Morey's gonna make a play for a top-flight point guard" probably got mixed up with "Morey really likes Dragic!" and it sort of takes on new life in, "Morey's gonna get Dragic!" Plowman I know is credible. But if we aim for a PG now, before the season, it would have to be Rubio or Rondo; and the latter would probably involve needing a third team to take on salary, as JT's salary can't be combined with another for awhile. Otherwise we'll have to wait into the season when we can combine salaries of recent acquisitions with picks and other players and such.
So are all these alleged insiders. Whatever the speculation is, what Morey ends up doing in terms of trades is either 1) Not what we think is gonna happen, and/or 2) Out of the blue. Best thing is to just quit following all these frauds and wait until something actually happens that is verifiable.
I mean its not unreasonable to look at their roster and the moves they've made this offseason and thing that there could be a possibility of a PG shaking loose. Wishful thinking, yes, but not unreasonable.
I'm not convinced we're getting Rondo due to chemistry issues. Unless H&H are on board, I don't think it'll happen. Is there anyway we can get D-Will without giving up Ariza?
