    That's the thing.
    You're looking at them as

    Point Guards

when both Bledsoe and more specifically Dragic are more than capable playing SG. Bledsoe is one of the best, if not THE best, defender at his size and can easily hold his own with bigger guards. Gogi is legit too.

Why trade your starting SG when you likely can't find a better replacement? So you can start Thomas? That's ridiculous.

I think some team agreed to acquire Bledsoe once he becomes tradable but that team doesn't have the assets to engage in a sign and trade right now.

No insider here, but realistically the only significant upgrade that I can see even possibly happening at PG before the season starts is Rondo, but chances are much higher at the deadline. Especially if the Pelicans suck this year, the value of that pick is going to skyrocket.

I've been mentally preparing myself for Rondo since the trade rumor this past season. He brings elite skills with some shortcomings and is in a weird situation with the management aka a Morey target.

That could be true, but one thing not mentioned in all this "bumped salary cap" furor is that few teams will show a profit if they pay out that much money.

This new TV deal could be reeeaaaally good for the Lakers, Knicks, and Nets.

Does anybody know if this is 5 years of 14 flat or a standard rising scale contract?

Since when has either Goran, Bledsoe, or Thomas ever played SG consistently? Yes they may experiment here and there to go small ball, but they aren't true SG, players like Harden would eat them for dinner. They're PG, not SG. No way they both stay on the team by seasons end, maybe even start of season.

Good point, but a bump in the salary cap will also mean a bump in the "salary floor"

In addition no team wants to appear cheap. There is talk that the suns made this deal in part to avoid that stigma among FAs

Plowman is legit. If no Rockets trade occurs it definitely won't be for lack of effort.

Last year was the second time in his career he's played SG more than 20% (the first was the 2nd year of his career, as a bench guy) and as much as Phoenix needed him at the 2, he still played less than 50% there.

Bledsoe played 4% of his minutes at the 2 last year. His career high was 12%.

You can play Dragic and Bledsoe at the same time, but nobody in their right mind would do so if there were any other options if they wanted to maximize the fit of the talent on the floor.

Rockets ran Asik out at the 4 last year. Doesn't mean you feel great when he's playing there. Dragic isn't as bad a fit as Asik playing out of position, but its not what you'd do if you had a choice.

I appreciate what Plowman is doing if indeed he is legit. But I don't get the almost arrogant confidence that something will happen. He keeps saying "we will" all the time whenever anyone questions anything.

Shouldn't an insider know more than anyone the uncertainties of the NBA?

Anyway, we find out by Oct. 28 if Plowman is legit.

I'm not doubting him. I just don't get how Drew threw out there one of Plowman's options, a month before him, and people say he took a lucky guess. That's one hell of a guess, then.

I feel like you only watch Rockets games and probably games that show up on TNT or ESPN lol.

Gogi can play SG and Bledsoe can guard SGs. By the way, how many players are out there like Harden? That's like saying players like KD will eat Klay Thompson alive. Who is a SG but can definitely guard and defend bigger players such as small forwards. Of course he'll get eaten alive. It's KD. Of course Gogi and Bledsoe may have trouble with Harden.... it's freaking Harden!

btw, last season before Bledsoe's injury the Suns were on pace to win 50+ games. Finished with 48 wins. Now you replace Ish Smith with Isaiah Thomas who is comparable to Kyrie Irving.. and a probably full season of Goran Dragic and Bledsoe together? Most elite back courts cost like in the 30 million range. I'm not afraid to say that the Suns have the best back court rotation in the league.

The Suns don't and arent forced to trade Dragic now. It's ridiculous.

So how soon before Bledsoe can be traded?

I wonder if Cyberx and Plowman have heard anything else as far as PHX looking to ship Dragic or if they're waiting until February.

Hmm. I guess. I won't argue it then since you brought out stats.
