he's a decent 3p shooter and with the ball in his hands would help the rockets lower their turnover rate.
He doesn't just not suck at passing, he is an elite passer, in addition to his passing he is also a terrific rebounder and defender at the point.
He's a decent defender with elite passing. Both passing and defense are contagious in ways other basketball skills are not. The Rockets have offensive weapons they can win with, but add a little primo passing and they can blow teams out. I'm not saying he's necessarily the best option, but if we get Rubio, I'm in.
If we get Rubio, I hope that they don't do an interview of him and TJ together. That would hurt my ears so much.
When is the next best time to get a good point guard? 2015 Free agent point guards: Rajon Rondo Goran Dragic Are the only good unrestricted free agent point guards next Summer 2016? You got Mike Conley and that's it. I'd take a roll of a dice with Rubio now (shooting woes and all) than to wait until next Summer with those slim pickings, be mediocre for a year, and watch Dwight opt out of his contract in 2016 for another team.
Maybe cyberx can chime in, on how much of this is Minny trying to scare Rubio versus them actually wanting Bledsoe instead.
The funny thing is that if we get Rubio, we would have had the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 11th, 23rd, and 29th pick of the 2009 draft class at one point or another
